These cammed bolts are designed to allow some adjustment of the angle between a MacPherson strut and the steering knuckle it attaches to.
Sometimes your vehicle will need an alignment adjustment beyond what is available from the factory, and these cam bolts are the way shops add adjustability. You can sometimes save yourself some money by installing these yourself before having the vehicle aligned!
