Great video JB. If you are tempted by these bargain grand tourers just make sure you opt for a well taken care of one with good service history. Any common issues the car suffers with ensure they have been dealt with prior to buying otherwise it will become your headache. The cars on this list are getting on now and all issues very well documented especially on KZbin/Facebook groups. Happy hunting!

Nice to see the xk8 at the top. I think a GT has to have space for that European road trip, so luggage space is needed. Soft tops tend to take up a lot of room, particularly metal folding ones. I have a Jaguar XF portfolio, 2012. Great looks, very well spec'ed and will take you to Spain in two days. They are very cheap now and 5k will get you a very good one. With prices as they are, an XF for the long trips, and an XKR for the fun weekends away. £10k and you can have both !!

GT has to be luxurious, refined and yet enjoyable; but not necessarily sporty per se. CL500 is the one to have from this list, but the Eos is the only one I'd turn down a free drive in (not counting the A7 since I've put so many miles on an A6 anyway). Jag would be great but I didn't fit in the XK8 when I drove one...love it other than that though, overtook one near Crewe earlier and it still looks stunning. Best GT ever has to be modern purely since modern suspension really widens the breadth of potential capability. Couple of wildcards that are clearly GT cars moire than anything else now: 992 and FL5, but neither is best. Aston DBS might be 3rd place due to dodgy ergonomics (octagonal wheel...why). Top 2: AMG GT (prev gen) and 812 Superfast. I reckon the AMG takes it simply on fuel economy - more fuel stops = less grand touring. Basing that entirely on the cars I can think of on a Friday night after doing my own 220 mile grand tour in a chavvy 308 today, which honestly does the job surprisingly well too - I don't think any other car I've suggested comes with massage seats 😁 Any car is a GT if you make the lumbar support go in and out a bit...

It's just a melted A6, they're repmobiles, not necessarily fast. Not that I hate them or anything, I've done thousands of miles in an A6 and it was absolutely adequate.

interesting video but I would probably argue that half your selections really arn't Grand Tourers, No argument with fabulous offerings from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus and Jaguar and the Peugoet for its looks alone (but not the 4 cylinder one). 4 cylinders really have no place in a relaxed, mile devouring tourer. The three germans will waft you around all day long and you probably won't feel tired at the end smae with the Jaguar and Lexus but the others will just make you work too hard.

Mercedes CL 500 you cant get one unser 8 k and then they have Like 300 k km . You will geht a decent one for Like 12 k.
