Steve, after driving my nautilus for a few months, I wanted to come back and leave some thoughts. We bought a 2021 reserve 2 with the 2.7 liter engine, 21” wheels and tow package. I adore this vehicle. It handles well (some body roll but I’ve driven worse), is speedy, drives on the highway like a dream. This is our 3rd Linclon (we’ve had a MKC and a MKZ hybrid). My only complaint is fuel economy lol and I wish the back seat was just a *little* roomier I’ve had major brain surgery in 2016 and get headaches and neck pain pretty easily, along with having broken my tail bone a few years before the brain, so ride quality is really important to me. Both my rear and my head are happy with this car 🤣 As a shorty I appreciate that foot lift gate! And as a comparison, I considered the Ford Edge to save a little $$ but I thought the auto stop/start was rough. I figured I’d go down to the Corsair if I needed to save some money (I loved my MKC so I was fine with the Corsair), but I do appreciate the extra cargo space in my he Nautilus. In short, I love my car and I’m very happy with my choice .

Great information, Steve! You should be getting the commission on the 2021 Nautilus Reserve that I just picked up earlier this week. I bought it pretty much sight unseen going mostly by your video here and a few others. The remote start from the app works great and I was super happy to find out that the engine, heat, etc. stays on when you open the door! There are so many brands out there (like Lexus) that shuts everything off as soon as you open the door. I will admit that the cameras are pretty bad 😕 but everything else is fantastic. However, I'm having an issue with the audio volume randomly fading in and out. I've tried to troubleshoot it and am not coming up with much. I've turned the volume/speed compensation off, but that didn't help. I've plugged in my phone, that didn't help, and besides, it does it on Sirius XM as well as Spotify off my phone. This morning it was especially bad, but on the drive home it seemed okay. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

Hah love it, thanks so much Mel! I'll have a look at a 2022 when they start landing on dealer lots and reach out to a Lincoln contact to see if it's a software issue for the camera It's odd that the audio is giving you intermittent issues. Glad you enjoyed it Utsav and great catch on the song for the audio test. I was a bit disappointed on their choice of Park Assist system to use. You did an excellent job on everything you need to know about these vehicles. Just like yourself, alot of us at work could not for the life of us figure out why, after spending 70 000 for a new vehicle, there was NO spare tire? I kinda get it on a smaller and cheaper ford vehicle but not a Lincoln. That being said, anyone that buys 1 of these vehicles....you will not be disappointed.

Doing a bit of research, there were a few electrical issues some drivers were reporting in the 2019. The 2020 seems to not have the same issues and the 2021 is still too early to tell. Also found some folks online that have the previous gen MKX, which the Nautilus replaced, who have 160,000km+ on theirs right now and it's running great. Looking at the engine, it's either 2.0L turbo or 2.7L turbo so just make sure you maintain it properly, change the spark plugs a bit more often and you should be good.

I have a 2011 MKX Limited ED which I purchased in 2013. Only 106K KM but not anything major of concern. 15 L/ 100 KM is nothing to write home about but being advised by Lincoln to only use 87 octane, the gas cost is not great and during the pandemic travel has been minimal in any event. My old MKX did that and it’s nice to have.
@CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
Hey Pepper! You could technically lock it in the car but I've had a few people point out reasons not to.. Mainly if someone breaks in they could easily drive off because the fob would be inside. You know what? I just realized I haven't' really done a dive into the drive modes in the reviews. Thanks for pointing that out! Would loved to seen a demo of putting the 2.7L in flat tow made for towing behind a motorhome. We are new owners of a 2021 Nautilus and yet to find it in the manual, and at the time of purchase no one at the dealership knew how to put it in tow mode. My complaints are the lack of USB in the car. Should be one in the center console, and in the rear cargo area. The lack of a engine cover is also my complaint. I honestly thought someone had removed it from our car. I know it's under the hood, but it does look tacky when the hood is open seeing the rat nest of wiring. A nice Lincoln cover would look better. Luckily my 2021 did come with a spare tire. We feel much more comfortable having a spare on road trips.
@CarsWithSteve2 жыл бұрын
Will add that one to the list, thanks for the suggestion! Rear cargo USB is a good idea, probably tough to do in the next few years because of the chip shortage that's going on right now. The engine cover is an interesting one. They stopped part way in 2021 on the Corsair as well, most likely commodity constraints. There are some aftermarket ones you could add on though if you really wanted to hide the motor. Curious, did you go with the massage seats?
@jerryw44582 жыл бұрын
We did not get one with the massage seats. I believe we have every other option available though. We had to drive to Houston from Oklahoma City just to find the one we got. With the already shortage of new cars, we had a massive hail storm come through that totaled out thousands of cars, making it that much harder finding a car. Our Lincoln dealership was charging a $5000.00 low inventory fee over MSRP, and I wasn’t going to pay that.

TouTube caters to ALL ages, demographics, countries, genders etc. Comments on the ride quality, safety, dynamics, seat comfort, rigidity, chasis etc, etc could all be covered rather than THE ELECTRONICS, the dash.
