Racing is so hot the corner worker was on fire and didn't know it till pain set in. Methanol has an invisible flame 56:49 He got a blast of raw Methanol then hot exhaust out of tailpipe

The beginning of the 'Season of the Bump and Run.' Before it was over,FOUR races (Long Beach,Indianapolis,Meadowlands,Toronto) would involve the cars in first and second place making contact with each other late in the race.Of course,only Indy is well remembered today although Toronto was even more controversial than this one was.

This was a excellent CART race from 1989. Congratulations to Al Unser Jr for the win but definitely an unhappy Mario Andretti as their two cars made contact late in the race putting him out.
