I remember that one because I was in attendance. It was unsettling to be in Downtown Houston post 9/11 (the race was in October), and the runway in use for William P. Hobby Airport (one of the two major airports for Houston in 2001) put the approach path of the airliners right over Downtown. I also saw the initial coverage of the invasion of Afghanistan in the Firestone promotional tent.

One of the worst street circuits ever in the USA. And that's saying a lot when you consider layouts such as New Orleans, Phoenix, San Jose, and Des Moines. However, I think the Houston circuit is going to look really good once we see the street circuit in Nashville.

@@AlonsoRules Yeah, that one wasn't good. I can see similarities between the two...I'm going to start referring to Nashville as this generation's Miami Bayfront.
