I much appreciate seeing some older supplies being loved and used! This year, I've really focused on using what's already in my stash, so it's very encouraging to see other crafters doing the same here and there. Your cards were just lovely, and your husband made great choices on the music again. Now, I'm off to find some Christmas stamps and make a few cards for the holidays. Thank you for the inspiration and the motivation!

Moon Scrap Hello! Welcome to the fun world of card making. The measurements I list on the sketches are for the pattern papers. Then I add 1/8” for the matted layers. 😊
@debbieweber1110

Hi Kristie, still browsing all your older videos. I have a Question.. When a sketch has a circle that lists the measurement of 2 1/2 inches... Do you cut the back/layering cardstock the 2 1/2 and go down for the top layer? Or do you cut the white/sentiment layer 2 1/2 inches and go up for the back/layer? Thanks much for all your videos

Nothing to say but thanks again. I'm slowly adding to my already large sketch collection but it's great as you always seem to use ones I haven't come across yet! I have a question - on MFT 233 card, it's fast and I can't quite make it out and I know I've seen you do it before. Do you make a frame and add paper and then turn it over and do the same and attach, making two sides? Sorry, just can't get my head around the technique.
@KristieMarcotte
@KristieMarcotte 6 жыл бұрын
Heather Upton You are very welcome. I love sketches and use them for most of my cards. For MFT sketch 233, I cut out the frame first, then I cut the pattern paper just slightly smaller than the frame and attach it to the backside of the frame. And since I love layers, I matted the whole piece on cardstock that is 1/8” larger than the stitched frame. I hope that makes sense. 🙂
