Love it all! The muted tones and what looks to be grays are just perfect. I raised an eyebrow when you brought out the orange cardstock, but of course it worked beautifully. I am not good at using printed papers together, which is why I started watching your videos. Have learned a lot from them and also the value of using sketches. Very nice cars and the colors are lovely! I enjoy your videos with and without voice overs. As for voice overs I feel there’s on,y so many ways to repeat the same thing over again such as taking the backing off the tape or going to put this on my card base, etc lol. Your videos are pretty much self explanatory, I think. I used to stream a live show for 2 hours and when I was done I was hoarse. I also don’t mind the longer videos once in awhile cuz I enjoy seeing just how much you can get out of that paper pad, lol. Keep doing what works best for you my friend. The majority of us will be right here waiting for your next video with or without voice over ❤️❤️. TFS

Ella Conner Thank you so much for your kindness and support. I truly appreciate it. 💖💖💖 During my voiceovers, I sometimes feel like I’m just rambling on and on. And constantly repeating myself. Lol! I don’t use a lot of fancy techniques since I keep my cards pretty clean, focusing on pattern paper and stamps. I’m also terrible at doing voiceover. It can take me hours to do a 30 minute voiceover. Not my gift. I’ve gotten much better though. 😊

A Lin Hello. I drop off the box of cards every month to the activity coordinator. She actually passes out the cards since she knows who may need a card each month. For holidays, I bring enough cards for every resident. If you do decide to donate cards, I suggest talking with the coordinator, show them your cards, and find out what they need. Check if there are any restrictions, example no glitter. If you are willing to write a message inside your cards, there are so many places that would love them. Just ask around. That’s what I did. 😊

Oh. I meant to ask, I looked on your blog but you didn’t say what the name for the colour of the grey card stock was. Can you remember? If not, no worries. It’s really helping my solid colour cardstock selections since you started putting the colour names for the cardstock on your blog where you can. Rosie Allbon I didn’t actually use any gray cardstock. I used Tonic Studios silver mirror paper. It probably looks gray in the video. And the cardstock I layered most of my cards is called Black Tie by Bazzill. It’s a charcoal color and has a pretty pearlescent finish on one side. 🙂

very inspirational never thought of a 6X6. Only problem is if you are making Christmas cards where you have 50 cards or more the cost would be a lot more for the postage. Just sending an individual card not so much. :)

Doreen Jones Thank you! My cards are all A2 size, so it doesn’t cost anything extra to mail them unless they are too thick. I love using 6x6 paper pads to make cards. I usually make around 30 cards from each paper pad. 🙂

I donate the majority of my cards to a few small local charities, my church, residents at a nearby retirement home, fundraiser silent auctions. There always seems to be a need for handmade cards. Maybe if there’s a craft market nearby, you could try selling your mini albums. Or start an Etsy page. 🙂

What a great first video for 2020! Loved all the cards. My favourite is still that last one. Have to get that die! I noticed you are using art glitter glue (my favourite glue) ... what do you think? Maria Serpa-Gauvin Thank you! I really enjoyed this paper collection. I just starting using Art glitter glue after 2 other glues kept clogging on me. So far I like it, although it can come out a bit watery at times. I’ll try it out a bit longer before I decide if it’s a keeper. I do write a short message inside every card for the retirement homes. Just a few uplifting messages, usually about the season or holiday. Writing isn’t my gift, but I want to make sure they feel loved. I always close with ‘Sending Sunshine and Smiles’, then sign just my first name. I also have a custom stamp I use for the back of the card. Random Act of Kindness to brighten your day. 🙂

Kristie do you stand when you do your 6x6 paper pad videos? I try to but my back gets real tired and I was just curious. I also noticed you using Art Glitter glue. I have issues with it clogging all the time. Any tips?

Cathy Barwick I generally sit while crafting, but my table is high enough for me to stand as well. I just recently bought the art glitter glue. This was the second time I’ve used it. During a previous video, 2 other glues were clogged, so I grabbed the art glitter glue. So far I like it. I do keep the pin in the tip, so hopefully that will help. I think the only reason my other glues clogged is because I hadn’t used them for weeks since I took some time off during December.

Melissa Leggett I don’t buy scor- tape in bulk. I don’t go through it as quickly as ATG tape. I keep forgetting to link the scor-tape, but I buy it from either scrapbook (dot) com or scrapbookpal (dot) com. The generic brands seems to work great.
