It just goes to show you how much the staff of an ER changes in a few years. It took Carter a couple of minutes before he recognized someone and it was a paramedic who doesn't even technically work in the ER.

It doesn't change that much honestly. Emergency department staff generally don't flop often. There are nurses in the EDs I transport to as a paramedic who have known me since I was a baby EMT student a decade ago.

When he left and told Morris “You set the tone.” Archie’s reply was,”Huh?” He figured it out. Gregg Pratt had become a great doctor too. That shock of losing him was heartbreaking. John Carter, even though he was ‘in and out’ was our only constant. From “Day One” to “And In The End…” And several of the nurses and EMT drivers. There’ll never be another show like this.

I absolutely loved ER!! Carter’s progression for a novice to an experienced professional over the seasons had been wonderful. Back in the day ER was definitely my best TV series of all time. Even today the cinematography in the trauma rooms is the greatest ever of all TV hospital dramas. Also the characters are strong and brilliant storylines. I loved it. 🙏🏾❤️🧑🏾⚕️👩🏼⚕️👨🏽⚕️👨🏻⚕️

ER had a lot of plotlines that "died on the vine", going all the way back to S1 when they didn't know what to do with "Bob" (the foreign janitor who was a highly-skilled cardiovascular surgeon, who Carter was going to help with her residency test).

I've always wondered: Why does Carter look so sad/serious when he's looking at the hospital? (I know it's Valentine's Day so the stabbing etc may have been on his mind, but it's the place he use to love and had such a close connection with... you'd think the nostalgia would make him happy or at least smile.)

Mark, John, Susan, Doug, Peter, Carol, these were the main characters of ER.. When the main cast started to crumble away, they should have ended the entire show in my opinion, it then lost all of it's beauty and power. I'm currently rewatching on Prime, but once I'll get to that point, I think I'm gonna end it. I can't tell you guys who big of a part of my life this show was when I was 18-20 years old, really and truly this is the best show ever made in the entire history Television.
