Outstanding match by Trent. The slide by at 6:50 was slick. Happy he got the win here.

right but when he wins its everything God did for him. I think some of these guys think they are the chosen ones...But in reality it was them all along...to know God, is to know yourself anyhow and I don't sense it.

The guy briefly put his hand out I’m sure he wasn’t thinking about that stop trying to make everything negative

He’ll hide behind college success, but don’t get it twisted. It bothers him that’s he’s not even one of our top 3 guys at any senior level weight.

And what you’d place at seniors and what success did you have in college ?

This is Olympic weights....the World's has his right weight class, 79kg....86kg isn't his home.

Ah yes bumps 2 weight classes up while still needing surgery in the right leg but he’s “hiding” behind his college success. So sad 😢…

Starocci has become a disgrace. He ran away from Burroughs, then made excuses about how difficult it would have been to make the weight. I honestly dont think he would have beaten Burroughs. It would have been an even less of a close match - Starocci losing to Nolf. Lastly, it would have been hilarious to watch him against Dake. What's his excuse for losing to Hidlay? He's never won an NCAA title. Now he's even mouthing off to David Taylor about his career choice and how he's not being loyal!!! By that idiotic logic, coach Sanderson should have somehow stayed with Iowa State, no matter what the cost to him and his family... because of loyalty... or whatever.

Thought that was a bad look too. What is Taylor supposed to do, wait for Sanderson to die so he can take the PSU job? It would have been great to see him go home to the Buckeyes and take over for Ryan.

Last time Starocci and Nolf faced in freestyle… Starocci won… try again

Although I think Starocci needed to be humbled (really really did) can we for one second think and not act like he’s not BUMPING up 2 whole weight class while failing to cut to 165??? Not to mention the leg he still needs surgery on. Let’s not act like Starocci is at 100%, regardless Trent Hidlay is a ABSOLUTE ANIMAL

Hidlay just beat a 4 time, maybe 5 time ncaa d1 national champion during his prime. Btw, why would Starocci compete in this with a bum knee?

@@steventhury8366 No, people who get 3rd or higher become world team members and you get access to training camps, coaching, and lots of other things. Also this is the olympic trials. He just won ncaa with a bum knee so he probably thought he could win this with a bum knee too. It wasn't unreasonable to assume it
@xzjayz7925

@@wrestlingsciencedef was unreasonable to assume. He’s injured everyone knows this. To think you’d beat out Valencia, Taylor, and Brooks while injured is ridiculous. Had he not been injured then I could’ve saw a possibility but unfortunately he’s giving up 10+ pounds and needs surgery. He’s needed to be humbled to learn and he got that lesson. He’s a tough lion but still immature.
