This is a masterclass in how to use the volume/tone knobs and pickup selector on a Les Paul. Gorgeous tones!

@AmDsus2Fmaj7Am10 жыл бұрын
oscarsundell I like that too. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that lick is in "Sweet Wine" of the "Fresh Cream" album and all over the place in the live material.

Ye man i believe so! He does that lick in an interview where he describes his SG and woman tone etc! Simply Amazing .
@AmDsus2Fmaj7Am10 жыл бұрын
oscarsundell Oscar, you're right. Clapton does that stock phrase also in the 1968 interview. I have good news. Here is the TAB, man: 12bar.de/cms/tutorial/advanced-soloing/#farewell Search for "what do you mean you want me to break the guitar up?" and you'll find it.

That's the trebliest Les Paul + Marshall combination I've ever heard. Lot of bite in that there 'burst...
@Dagger_3236 жыл бұрын
Andreas MacAllan got a lot to do with the cab it’s being run into. American speakers with a Marshall will give a tighter more “blackface” tone like this...
@jclev995 жыл бұрын
60 are much treblier than 58 and 59. Thinner neck, lighter bodies. There were slowly moving toward the SG sound n format. I like it. Easier to cut through in a band setting.
@Dagger_3233 жыл бұрын
@@jclev99 there isn’t all that much difference sound-wise between ‘60 bursts and earlier LPs. Slight, but very slight. The abundance of treble you’re hearing is coming from the Fender cab and the speakers. No Marshall, particularly a JTM45, will sound like this when paired with a Celestion-loaded 4x12.

Daniel Koch sounds so bright and not in a pleasant way, so I'm not sure but would love to know
@Dagger_3233 жыл бұрын
@@metalmulisha0143 that treble is coming from the cab and speakers. This is being run into a blackface Fender cab. If you were to run this same JTM45 into a Pre-Rola Celestion Greenback Marshall cabinet you would immediately get a much more recognizable classic Marshall sound.
@metalmulisha01433 жыл бұрын
@@Dagger_323 true true, think it might be the recording too. Still not a nice sound to me
@Dagger_3233 жыл бұрын
@@metalmulisha0143 Yeah, I agree. Too shrill for sure. Simo has gotten far better Marshall tones than this on other clips.
