I know it's not the popular opinion, but I say keep him up all year. He's a stud and they can work him in and out of the bottom pair with Hamonic, Kleven, and JBD. Really great video, your attention to detail is impressive. Cheers!

He's def worth giving toi to more than Hamonic and possibly even JBD. Seen as this is a do or die year tho he probs wont be in the opening night lineup.
@SceptileSlash
@SceptileSlash 14 сағат бұрын
He could already be better than Hamonic, but I think he would get exposed defensively in a full NHL year. It's just the better move to send him back to junior.

Personally think give him 9 games or less and see, he’s looked like an nhl player and his ceiling is even higher than maybe we thought

If you bury 19 goals and then 30 goals as a D in junior. You should 100% not be going back. Your development would regress. He needs to be in the NHL. Maybe play like 60-70 games and learn the pace. Then next year he will be a beast because he knows the pace and what to expect.

Good points but I disagree he should get sent down for one season to refine his skill preseason was good and I can see him playing a few games this season but not full time until next year he won’t get the ice time he should this year
@SceptileSlash

The reason to send him back to junior isn't to score more goals, it's to focus on the little things in the d-zone like coverage, breakouts, and 50/50 puck battles. He can still improve there and keep his confidence up by dropping another 30 goal season in the WHL

Better than who anticipated? Who are all these armchair GMs grading NHL teams on some website and criticizing the players they chose to draft. Yakemchuk was rated high and Ottawa took him just a few spots ahead. That's why they hire actual qualified people to scout and not some random guy trying to start some kind of a business or website. Personally, I'm glad they didn't take Parekh. However, it's still too early to know how everything will work out.

If he can be a 2nd line good offensive D putting up 40+ points in his prime, I think he would have exceeded expectations by far

@@saturationi5490 I mean it depends on if they use their height and weight as a part of their game. as burns does. and it's odd for a guy his size to skate that fast. he also has a heavier shot. is stronger on the boards etc etc.

You know, I thought it was hilarious because I was like watching all of the previews for the draft and all of them were like "He's big, nasty, scores a fuckton of points, plays big minutes, and is great two way... but he's at best gonna be a 2nd pairing guy" and I thought, he must like make a lot of stupid decisions or something? And nope, everyone just wanted to jerk off over fancy shit that isn't going to work in the NHL for the most part instead of substance. Same thing that happened with Seider... anyway it's unfortunate the Sens got him lmao
