Seeing you get emotional made me feel validated. We’re in a rental that is falling apart and I know that when we buy our own home I’m going to ugly cry over this one. It's very bitter sweet but time to close the chapter in your book of life and start a new chapter. @@CarterSullivan I moved 3 weeks ago for Westchester NY to Virginia Beach and I cried the first week so much, I traveled back to the city for work and went to my old neighborhood just to see the house and I couldn’t stop crying, it gets better as the weeks pass ❤❤

Hugs to you Carter!! I moved this month too and it has been bittersweet. We needed to leave our rental due to mold and several leaks that have not been addressed or fixed for 6 years. Super sad to leave our first home together, the home that we started a family in, on such bad term. On the bright side we did move into a beautiful home that is twice the size than our townhome and my son has a yard to play in. Feeling all the feels!!! ❤🏡

We don’t have any curtains in the back of our house and I love it. We have a picture bay window and I can see my rose garden and the birds and squirrels all day. Makes our den so cozy. Plus our patio door is perfectly angled for a sight line as you walk around the kitchen and front room. So I’ve planted lots of multi seasonal color. It’s such a riot and makes me so happy. Just cut down my autumn perennials and annuals so I’ve got a nice green, blue, purple backdrop to hold me through until winter.

I totally think to each their own with curtains! But because it's where we watch TV at night, I just feel weird about having no curtains there... yes, we back onto a field but still, I would like an element of privacy!

I've moved ten ish times in my life (from my first childhood home in France, homes I've lived in my parents abroad, the home I lived in through high school, my first apartment...other places), and I get sad whenever I have to leave a place for good. I get attached to places and memories. It's great that you have a lot documented to look back on because the memories will always be there.

I've moved twice in my life. I was so emotional when I was moving to the place where I live now even though I was moving away from a person who ended our relationship through a message. I can't wait to watch your new content on making new memories in your new home.
