I was born in the mid 1950's We had 5HP and down hit & miss in our fishing boats. Even into the 1980's there were a lot of these engines in boats. Coming in one night loaded with fish in our 30 foot clinker style oat i=with a 5hp hit & miss we were steaming beside a similar sized boat with a 30 hp diesel. He could not keep up to or 5 hp single lunger. I miss those days a lot.

In your Fairbanks videos you often refer to the "Ford Corporation" becoming more well known in the 1920s. The Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 in Detroit. It was never a corporation like General Motors or Chrysler. It has always been a company mostly owned and controlled by members of the Ford family.
