What really annoyes me are cars like the x6, theyre huuuuge but have tiny boot lids, and about as much interior room like a hatch. We comfortably put 2 proper downhillbikes into my mates mark 4 golf, and I'm convinced you couldn't fit even one in a x6. My mom has a 2015 rav4, which at least is roomy and you can actually put stuff in it. So i don't hate all suv's, but some are just rediculous.

My dad is sometimes thinking about getting a rav4, CH-R or cx30 I immediately shut him down and tell him to get a corolla or mazda 3 if he wants one of those. SUV's that can't go proper off-road, and are used for that purpose, are pointless.

What worse is that most modern SUVs are not even proper SUVs. They are some unholy rolling abortion the looks like a cross over with a eating disorder. And cross overs and there fans can go fuck themselves with a cactus. Cross overs look like a big fresh shit with wheels on the side. If you want a SUV buy a proper big boxy thing with a v8 or v6.

I personally don't like SUVs, but as a father I appreciate practicality and extra height when loading children in and out; it's easier. However I think the solution is an MPV, which is what I own. My life changed quite a bit since, and if I would have gotten it, I'd not be in the same phase of my marriage, simply because of all the cost that would've occurred around the semi restoration of the Lincoln. To link to the Peugeot 107 issue, a common issue is the throttle body cable coming loose and the seal being worn. so when you rev it'll rev up but as soon as throttle is closed it will choke the engine and kill. Potentially a reason? Hopefully that helps whoever's issue it was.

RE: the pulling out topic, VERY OFTEN people dont do two takes on mirrors before signalling/pulling out so they have very little awareness of approaching speed, or simply dont care. I used to drive a Kia Pride through a flooded lane to UNI (circa early norties) I have no Idea how A) the engine kept going and B) the cars interior never flooded. I never full sent it though, just 1st gear and gently on through.

That's pretty much the only trick to driving through flooded streets, at a slow and steady speed you push a bow wave ahead of you that can help keep water out of the car. Also depends a lot on where the cars intake is, there are a lot of cars that mount the intake piping quite low down in front of one of the front wheels. People rush into or though the water thinking that the less time you're in there the better, instead water gets thrown around the wheel arches, sucked into the intake and hydro-locks the engine.

For the guy who wants a reliable 80's car: get an old Merc!!! Speaking from personal experience, here. I daily drive a '91 300D and it's an amazing reliable classic! If you' ve never driven an old Mercedes, you'll be surprised how "modern" it feels, it doesn't drive like most 30+ yo cars... they're much ahead of their time, future classics with very good potencial apreciation, and incredibly confortable and reliable.

Modded vans are cancer lmfao. BUT aye, if you're REALLY SUPER IN LOVE WITH CARS and you also happen to only be able to afford one vehicle and it also has to be practical with space for work or family or whatever, then fine do you, mod it. HOWEVER I doubt youll ever get the appreciation from most people. Now granted you dont care for their appreciation, which you shouldn't, DO IT. If you like you Honda Odyssey slammed with red wheels and a lip kit all around, enjoy your whip. As long as it makes YOU smile thats what matters. P.S. Just saw that exact Honda mentioned above yesterday here in Florida🤣🤣 #justkissimmithings (if you know you know)

12:55 I kinda agree with that guy. Concerning All the modern vans, There characterless tractor powered, voguish and plasticity euroboxes. It reminds me of those VW kids that modify their diesel Passat, Or those people that colourcode their windscreen wipers and calipers Haha The Only Vans that can pulloff modifications are oldskool. Like the old Volkswagen campers, The badass 70-80s V8 American vans, Old petrol transits, Bedfords, etc.

Listening at home while working on my BMW E39, just to say I hate old plastic pipes which break and take bloody forever to replace, they do my head in when you start one job and end up fixing another because something broke while working on another, in the podcast van visit people and help them with their project cars to fix and repair ?

Speaking of load rated wheels, I know someone that got fined for running alloy wheels and ordinary car tyres on a transit connect.
