I've never heard of people complaining about the head gasket. Most common problem we have if lifter tick, but if you keep the car fairly stock and in good condition you are usually safe.

Mitsubishi Galant VR4 too, it’s an overlooked JDM legend although here in Philippines, they’re pretty common. The 6th gen Galant VR4 is known as the “First Evo” since it’s 4WD and it has a 4G63T engine even before Evos were made while the 7th and 8th gen Galant VR4 also have 4WD but they have V6 engines instead.

The only reason the Kenmeri is overlooked is because they barely ever made any. Most of them became race cars and it was never produced outside of Japan. On the other hand, the Nissan 300ZX Z32 is a constantly overlooked car that came with a 2+2 model, 4 wheel steering, T tops, a possible Twin turbo with more electronics you’ve ever seen in a 90’s sports car. Being significantly more expensive than the Z31, the Z32 wasn’t as well received as it’s predecessor developing a smaller fan base than all the other Z’s.

The Z31 is also incredibly overlooked compared to other Zs and other classics from Nissan. I bought a Z31 about a month ago for $3000. It has all the options as well; manual, turbo, digital dash, electric windows, mirrors, locks, and seats, and the t tops! For 3 grand I got a rwd, turbocharged, manual sports coupe with almost no rust and in near perfect condition. This car is super fun and the digital dash is awesome!

At the time it was scene as over weight and 4 wheel steering was scene a novelty. Plus Mitsubishi has never been linked with reliability. The engine bay was also small and kind of cramped which people saw as a good way to lead to overheating as well. I think it's a beautiful looking car but I would hate to pay the maintenance prices.
