I just bought a Rolex last week and the woman at the Rolex store said the ballon bleu was a step below Rolex. I think she may have been trying to sell me a Rolex. I’ll end up getting this one too.

@@katemiller7874 ohhh 😂 the good-ole sales people pitch. Well, I think Rolex does hold its value in the long run better than Cartier. But the aesthetic on the BB is more youthful & unique. Follow what your heart tells you ;)

When you don't wear your Cartier watch for a few days, do you suggest purchasing a Watch Winder or just putting the watch back in the Cartier box?

Great question Megan. I personally don’t think a watch wonder is needed for this watch or other automatic & uncomplicated watches. Its easier to wind and set these when you use it. With other watches that have complications, it often takes A lot of efforts to reset if not worn for a long time. Hope this is helpful 💖

Acier in french means steel, so the engraving was saying steel and gold 750.

The watch is definitely more beautiful as a stand alone piece of art...the high polish of the steel will mark as will the Gold if the watch is clanking around with your bracelets. Give the watch a gentle rub, now and again with a jewellers cloth to keep the marks at Bay. If money is no object - you can do as you please.

Sigh every time I watch this watch. I fall in love w it all over again however I have the Date Just in two tone w the Roman dial and both of them looks so similar yet so dif. I can’t make up my mind if I want this watch in two tone or stainless steel which my skin color looks better more w the two tone because of the gold (but my Rolex is two tone) Lord first world problem. Do you have have them date just in two tone? Wondering if it’s too similar. I feel like they both will serve the same outfits options. Sigh haha

I personally think Cartier watches look best in all gold or all stainless steel. I have an all stainless steel ballon bleu in 28 and love it. My next purchase is going to be a two-tone 28 or 31mm datejust with fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet, silver dial, and diamond markers!
