He must've been a great man to sit and chat with. I only discovered him about four or five years ago while digging for old Irish music, and boy when I did, I was _over the moon!_ This is a wonderful post. My only regret about it is the tune at the beginning being cut off; I've never heard that one before.

in reference to the Flight of the Wild Geese, is that why they call America the Wild Goose Nation? is it because people migrated to it, like the geese to every season? I first heard the term when listening to blackface minstrel music, written in the late 1800s.

Kegan, I have no idea, but the Irish wild geese tended to settle in France and spain...
