So when it finally came out in theatres I was like yeah that movie looks absolutely stupid. At the time my older brother and I were working for our local Cineplex. My boss was doing a staff show that night and invited us to watch it I did not want to go see it but was basically browbeat and was not allowed to actually go home because my brother insisted that I go because all they're going to show the new Star Trek trailer(as this was before the release of Trek 09). Not only was he completely full of it with regards to that new trailer that was supposed to be in the movie but I also found the movie nauseating and stupid

2:07 The thing that makes Cartman "likeable" when compared to other characters that are pices of shit like Jennifer Walters from the She-Hulk show or Velma from, well, Velma, is that he's intentionally designed to be the most disgusting and bigoted person imaginable, and most importantly THE WRITERS AND THE SHOW ARE AWARE OF IT, and make Cartman the butt of the joke in most occasions, and the world punishes his behavior, no one in his school actually likes him and characters like Wendy and Kyle call him up on his bs. Whereas in Velma and She-Hulk, the characters are always treated like they are in the right despite being toxic individuals, and are liked by most characters in their respective shows. Another thing that makes Cartman above those types of characters is that Cartman puts actual effort to get his way, like the Scott Tunnerman episode, when he goes up and beyond to have kyle succ his 🅱️alls or has to go to Jersey to save Kyle. Whereas, again, Jen and Velma get everything through minimal effort. One last fact that makes Cartman "likeable" is that Trey and Matt use Cartman's bad traits and characteristics to drive entire episodes and put him in entertaining situations -His stupidity makes him drink Vagisil to become a Nascar driver -His pettiness towards his friends makes him tame C'thullu -His greed and selfishness makes him eat fake pirate gold -His stupidity makes him and lack of awareness makes him turn into the leader of an actual pirate crew Whereas Jen and Velma's trait aren't treated (or even acknowledged) as flaws, but as charming imperfections that shouldn't be corrected. That's why Cartman works where other characters falter in being as likeable and entertaining as him despite being an unlikable person
