My theory. This is based of a real story Samurai Jack was a martial artist (in this case a Samurai) Aku represents the leaders of the west, money, power, greed and domination Think about it "Long ago in a distant land (asia, distant representing area unfamiliar? Does west sound distant enough?), I... Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness (evil westerns as they were protrayed changing shape... in other words decieving people), unleashed an unspeakable evil (propaganda with gold mines to attract potential asian workers to come to the west in hopes of getting gold, but they were tricked and many became slaves etc. sound evil enough?). But a foolish Samurai warrior, wielding a magic sword (magic in this case could mean unfamiliar to you, westerners back then used old school guns etc. they never probably seen or know how to combat against people with swords), stepped fourth to oppose me. *cutscene where jack pwns AkU* Before the final blow was struck (perhaps samurai dismantling the operation of propaganda), I tore open a portal in time, (perhaps manage to aprehend him and send him on a boat to become a slave also), and flung him into the future (to the west)... WHERE MY EVIL IS LAW. (western lands, where the stuff they did back then wasn't necessarily prohibited, in this case slavery). Now the fool seeks to return to the past. (Perhaps back to his home land, where he is familiar to), and UNDO THE FUTURE (in this case future represents the western culture of slavery in which aku claims the evil is law) that is aku. Thats just my theory tho

In my opinion, this cartoon series is a reflection of the world. Good forces vs bad forces. Take example of a corrupt leader who has enormous power at his disposal. One cannot defeat him by killing him, as after being killed some other corrupt from the society will take his place. So the cure is to purify the conscience of the people(society) by putting an example of purity in front of them, that will eventually drive away corruption (bad forces). RECALL the episode where jack is infected by Aku's virus; his parents reminded him the strength that he has within himself by generating fearlessness in others whom he has helped. That fearlessness in people and strength to walk the path of righteousness, shown by Jack, will eventually defeat Aku. Therefore, there is no point showing showing Jack going back and killing Aku if this is the PURPOSE of this cartoon series.They could have alternate ending according to this point of view. They have wished to keep it open ended.

Well S1-E13 in the end the kids tell the story one how he fights aku, and onces he kills Aku the last lines are "my quest has ended, I will now travel back in time and undo the evil that aku has done." So the kids in the show are indicating that jacks quest is to defeat aku in the present/future and then go back in time to fight him again and undo the evil.

Thats not a theory that was the plot of the show. At one point he finds a portal guarded by some blue guy in a suit. He beats jack and is about to kill him but a voice stops him telling him that Jack is the one and shows a picture of Jack as an olderman with a crown on his head.

The reason Jack doesn't take a time portal as an alternative to saving people, is because the sword only works for the innocent and pure of heart. If Jack is not willing to save those who need saving even if the alternative is for the greater good ,he is no longer pure of heart or innocent, he then cannot defeat Aku even if Jack can go back in time, because the sword will not work. Innocence- lack of guile or corruption; purity.

Theory for Total drama: Chris and Chef are the only ones that are real and all the contestants are Teenage versions of his friends who are all dead or moved and Chris never saw them again, the Challenges in the show are games they played at Summer camp, now for some of the characters other than the Contestants, Chef is Cris's brother, the interns are the Conselurs at Summer camp, and the appearances of the player's parents are memories of Chris's friends before they died or moved away, when one of Characters gets voted off it's when someone from camp did bad at the game they get voted out, the reason Chris doesn't want them to leave the show for good is because he doesn't want to forget the memories he had with them.

Hate to be "that guy" but the only resin Jack is there in the first place is because he was about to kill aku but then was sent there. I always thought that, being a person from feudal Japan, he didn't understand much about time travel which would make perfect sense as to him not knowing what would happen to them if he went back in time.

yea dont think this is much of a theory since there was an episode where jack found a portal back but was stopped by the guardian of the portal who said he was not ready they fought jack lost and he showed a glimpse of the future where jack was older had a kick ass beard i think a shield and was just so much stronger looking and the guy pretty much said this is the portal he will use but not till hes stronger
