Cain, the Eduardo Risso book, first ran here in Argentina on Fierro magazine around 1987 (kinda our version of Metal Hurlant/Heavy Metal, sort of). It's early Risso's work, so you'll probably notice that his artwork is more detailed than the more Miller-esque work at 100 Bullets. The script it's kinda a metaphor of Argentina's politics and social turmoils of those years, so you'll probably miss some of that stuff when reading it, but anyways it's a fun cyberpunk comic, you'll probably enjoy it.

06:34 Xavier Dorison is the french writer of some extremely popular series of comics (Le Troisième testament, Prophet, Sanctuaire, Long John Silver, Undertaker, etc.) 12:06 I'm very fond of Tyrant not only because it was the first alternative comic I bought (#2), but also because the Tyrant Media Guide section of the backmatter was my "Palmer's Picks". 28:10 Matthias Schultheiss is a German cartoonist. He has a few other comics in english, like A Couple of Winos adapted from Charles Bukowski and published by Fantagraphics and Talk Dirty for Eros Comix. He was among the group of cartoonists (Baru, Edmond Baudoin, Paul Pope, Tom Hart, etc) invited by Kodansha to work for publication in Japan in the mid-90s. 38:04 Strip Art Features is a publisher that mainly licensed european albums for publication in the US market, founded by Ervin Rustemagic whose faxes to Joe Kubert during the Bosnian war were the basis for Kubert's Fax from Sarajevo. Ervin Rustemagic was also co-founder, together with Scott Rosenberg, of Platinum Studios, the media licensing company behind the Cowboys & Aliens comic/movie.

Love the enthusiasm you both show when going through comics... mainly because it's rare for me to see others feel the same as I do about comics. Keep up the great work, fellas!

Love Steve Bissette’s work on Moore’s Saga of the Swamp Thing. Will have to check his Tyrant self published work. Thanks for sharing.

It's really cool seeing where you guys get your influences from. The coloring is one of my favorite things about X-Men grand design, surprising the whites come from an iron Man book.

Exo Squad is THE most underrated of the early 90's saturday morning cartoons. still one of my favorites. characters developed and people died, which was a departure from the gi joe cartoon.

Micronauts is the shit! Mantlo wrote the entire first series (along with Rom). Both books kept going long after the toys were forgotten. Really fun stuff!

Great video guys! Ricardo "el loco" Barreiro, the writer of Caín, is a legendary Argentine screenwriter, he worked in the past with many great artists, Juan Giménez, Enrique Alcatena, Juan Zanotto, Eduardo Risso and many others, unfortunately he died in 1999

Brass Sun! I actually had a comped copy of the hardcover. It's a good steampunk adventure book that was originally in 2000 AD. Still ongoing AFAIK with the latest story published last year in 2000 AD.

A1 originally had six issues and a bikini special from Atomika in the late 80's, squarebound. 4 issues of regular saddle stitched comics from Epic/Marvel in the early 90's. has made a come back in the past 10 years.
