I live in Tijuana and it's not so easy getting comics locally. So with the border closure, haven't been able to get into San Diego and pick up comics so mycomicshop has been my main source of comics for the past year and half. Have gotten like 300 comics from them. Have made good use of their value packs (their sci-fi, vertigo and fantasy, specially). Shipping does get kind of pricey so you might as well put in extra comics to make up for it, as Jim says.

So stoked to see another unboxing video… thanks Jim! Also, not that I’m sure you guys would have trouble getting in touch, but I’m friends with an older guy who is pretty close with Stan Sakai and has dinner with him often. I’ll have him put in the good word for you guys! Side note: my friend has at least a dozen Usagi t-shirts from back in the day and would wear a different one just for me each week when he’d come in for his weekly guitar lesson at the music store I worked at! And PS: I haven’t watched your Hart Fisher interview yet, but I got that Verotik #4 a while back and that Taste of Cherry story was one of the only comic strips I can recall ever reading that did leave me feeling pretty uncomfortable. Mission accomplished Hart/Danzig!!!

The ABSOLUTE Arkham Asylum is a beautiful.... Beautiful rendition. Highly recommended. Though I believe that particular edition is OOP. If you can pick it up at cover, don't hesitate! I fully expect a deep dive into this dark and gritty tale! Great grabs Jimmy!

The Screaming Masks sketchbook was supposed to be a preview of Tundra's plan to collect Rick McCollum's Fourth World-style mini-comix. What I've seen of that stuff is just psychopathic, a whole universe of Kirby/Starlin-inspired superheroes, villains and cosmic freaks. You can find some of it on Ken Meyer Jr's Inkstains page, which offers free downloads of old fanzines.

Parasyte was adapted into 2 live action films by the same people who adapted Gantz. Gantz is another great manga that has been made into both anime and live action. It's super violent stuff and worth reading.

yeah the artwork is maybe a little stiff, but still in a charming way, and it really explores its premise well.
