WOW!! I actually remember this episode of the lone ranger,though I haven't seen it for over 40 years! Thanks for posting it! I hope you find those other " lost episodes" as well!

This is probably the only episode that didn't have the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and Taka pursuing villains.

There was also "Taka," in which the Lone Ranger and Tonto had cameos at the beginning, when they returned Taka to the wild. After that, Taka rallied all the wild animals to foil a band of hunters.

One of the few light-hearted eps in the series, together with "The Paddle-Wheeling Pirates" and at least one of the Tiny Tom stories. Just goes to show that the writers were open to doing something different. Having to fill only 6 minutes, they could have contented themselves with just churning out hackwork -- maybe by radically condensing the scripts of many an old Western TV or radio show -- but they didn't, they made something fresh like this. IMO this series, although steampunk in flavor, is superior to any of the several treatments of the LR legend to appear after 1966.
