@@christopherbennett5858 Though Democrats take over texas, then there is no way for a Republican victory ever again. Texas is the second biggest electoral college state. With the biggest and third-biggest both being democrat states, the republicans would almost literally be cut out of the election entirely. Look at every close election since we got this two-party system. If texas switched in any of them, then republicans would never have won. At that point, they have about as much chance as the green party. Usually, I would say, "who cares? That would never happen" But this election showed how split texas is, and with the next election not having trump super polarizing the right towards him, not as many republicans would vote. Do you know who will still probably vote? All the Democrats who signed themselves up for mail-in ballots and literally can't say they are too busy to vote anymore. A lot more democrats will vote in texas now that it is easeyer for them, and they know that it isn't a lost cause. I am sure a lot of Democrats don't vote in texas because they assume the state is too red and it won't change anything. This year showed us that isn't true, and I am excited for what I hope happens next election.
