the reason evangelion is like that is because midway through the creator seemingly had a bit of a mental breakdown and turned a pretty normal mecha anime (which for this genre is already dark, depressing and at least a little bit gay) into a deconstruction of the genre, humanity itself, and the way we live our lives also they literally ran out of budget and hid to finish the last episode with a box of markers, and then had to make two different movies just to end the series properly. as a result, evangelion is an absolute trip and a half, but that's why people love it.

Nah, I disagree. As someone who watched the series and talks about it with non-anime friends sometimes, it’s never brought up. If you’ve seen the show, yeah, but for non anime fans, all they know is Freiza arc and Cell arc, and Super. And even then, it’s just the main fights.

Just as a note: much of the outrage against MHA's ending is due to a misinterpreted leak, bad translations, and this crazy mentality within the manga community regarding "the agenda", where basically they do NOT care about what actually happens in the manga and only care about making memes about it. The ending itself isn't absolutely incredible but it's not like the worst thing to ever happen to the medium.

@@amberstargames Spoilers obviously So one of the biggest misinterpretations is the idea that Izuku was abandonded for years on end after Class 1-A graduates from UA, and that he assumes a boring 9-5 as a teacher. What is misinterpreted is the fact that in adulthood it was just hard for the entire class to collectively get their schedules to align, what with everyone becoming a pro hero and whatnot. As for Izuku, he is a teacher, but he's teaching at UA...one of the most prestigious hero institutions in the entire world. Additionally, his current relationship with Uraraka is left unclear (probably by design), and so a lot of people took that as evidence that Izuku was "cucked". Other misconceptions come from the idea that people collectively forgot about Deku but that's not true, he's remembered fondly as one of the greatest since his name is seen as on par with All Might and Endeavor by the populace. It's just that he hasn't been heroing around for eight years and everything there was to say about him has already been said long ago. However, the initial outrage with the leaks continues to be perpetuated because there's a big portion of the manga community that is very, very, VERY obsessed with leaks, and these people are the most devoted to "the agenda", which basically involves making as many memes as possible, which usually involve portraying the manga as bad even if the memes are blatantly wrong. This mentality has been ravaging the Jujutsu Kaisen community for the last year or so, it's actually where the "Nah, I'd win" meme comes from and probably has its origins in the way some fans reacted to AOT's ending a while back.

The ending is basically a time skip were everyone goes their ways, Rarely hanging out because once you're out of highschool is hard to meet up, but they still try, and Deku still hangs out with Bakugo and Mirio. Deku loses his Quirk after highschool and he's back to be a normie however he becomes a Teacher in UA to teach the next generation. Also All Might gives Deku an Iron Man Suit that was funded by Bakugo so he could still fight crime, but it was so expensive and complex that it took 6 years so people are upset at that too.

Spoilers, incase Personally the ending was kinda weak mostly because the time skip was 8 whole damn years. Like imo if it was like 2 years instead, kept the same ending, maybe add Deku works out like a madman daily to keep his body at peak, then yea itd cool. The suit though would instead get funding from every country, which would still make sense given Deku saved the world. Regardless it was a very weak ending and even then still pretty sad for Deku.

@ShurikanBlade it's just a manner of opinion. I don't need everyone to be happy, but I would like my protagonist to at least get his love arc fulfilled Teachers are highly honored in Japan. I think Deku become a teacher works, even a powerless one, though it does kind of rub me the wrong way it's not the end of the world. He did become the greatest hero, he saved the world, and now he is a hero by being a teacher. But he didn't end up with the love interest they set up from the beginning and for me, personally, that's an irredeemable failure

He never really showed much romantic interest in her apart from blushing from time to time and getting nervous which he's done around other girls too like Asui, Mei, Melissa, etc. Plus they were freshmen year crushes at best. Those don't usually work out anyway. There was a panel in the final chapter of them together which means they might have tried dating and just realized they were the perfect match they were expecting.

By the way, re the Goku skin for Ken, a modder named Mastaklo made a full-on Goku mod, with moveset and all. It's almost released, just waiting for some bug fixes in the modding tools. And the Goku vs Todoroki fight is double ironic since a fairly popular Dragon Ball What If KZbinr (I think Carthu, but I'm not sure) has a What If Goku Was ln MHA series, and it's an absolute blast to watch.

So here’s a question for everyone passing by. Is Pokemon considered a Cartoon or an anime? I know people call it an anime, but some seasons of the Pokemon series did air on CARTOON network. So yeah. I would consider it anime, it is still made in japan and uses japanese sensibilities when drawing it's characters and it has a manga (Granted it's more of a take on the video games but still) and I don't think it's network should really define what determines what is anime and what isn't, since Zatch bell and Yugioh and Dragon ball also aired on CN/Nick and the regular cartoon programs and that's DEFINITELY anime. P.S I agree, I think the hate on mha's ending is overblown too
