I just wish they'd kept the voice lines from Sonic's Brawl taunts. Honestly, "You're too slow!" and "Come on, step it up!" are so much more fitting to his personality. I mean sure, they at least kept the "Come on!" part of that one, but completely replacing the other with "Sonic speed!" was a huge mistake. I legitimately cringe every time I hear it. Literally one of the first mods I installed was fixing that taunt's dialogue.

It would’ve been so cool and unique if for Joker’s down taunt specifically (the one where Joker turns away from the camera with his gun in his hand and poses), it could cycle through each member of the Phantom Thieves in order of joining the party to pose with Joker. The first time the button is pressed can be with Morgana as usual, the next time it can be with Ryuji, the third can be with Ann, the fourth can be with Yusuke, the fifth can be with Makoto, the sixth can be with Futaba (outside the final smash), the seventh can be with Haru, the eighth can be with Akechi while Joker looks back angrily and finally the ninth time can be Joker posing with Sumire while smiling back at her and then the cycle loops back to Morgana the next time the down taunt button is pressed. Plus it can be a reference to the confidant menu in P5 where Joker is looking back at the confidant in the menu screen.

@@threeworldheroes The addition of Sophia, Zenkichi and Erina would be nice, but those characters were made well after Joker was in Smash so it’s up in the air on the possibility. Though to be fair, my idea proposing Sumi would be a stretch since Royal was merely teased when Joker was officially released as a DLC fighter. Though also to be fair we did get a Sophia Spirit later down the line with Strikers on Switch so it wouldn’t shock me if they updated Joker to include the spin off characters too.

I can totally imagine Futaba geeking out about fighters like ROB and Mega Man. Sumire would definitely be amazed by Bayonetta’s and Wii Fit Trainer’s flexibility capabilities and would be the most vocal next to Ryuji in supporting Joker in his Smash Bros fights. Ryuji gushing about Captain Falcon would be pretty funny to watch and he would be the loudest in showing Joker support in his fights. Ann showing admiration for someone like Zero Suit Samus would make for an interesting interaction. Morgana having a one sided rivalry with Pikachu because of Ann finding Pikachu adorable would be hilarious 😆 Yusuke and Chrom having a conversation together would be hilarious in a meta kind of way. (Both characters share the same VA in English AND Japanese) Makoto showing respect for Robin who is a tactician would be interesting to see. Haru wanting to have tea time with Peach and Byleth would be wholesome to see. Akechi being annoyed by Sonic’s attitude and shenanigans would be entertainingly funny to watch.

Honestly, for the Joker taunt, what I'd like to see is him doing the Baton Pass animation with one of the Thieves. It's a reference to what they do in battle, plus it could add all the other Thieves by having it either be random or a set pattern. Just Ryuji or Morgana is still a good idea though, the first three members of the Thieves.

When it comes to Akechi and Violet, it’ll differ slightly compared to the other thieves to get some Royal representation. Akechi could look at Joker with rage while they do the Baton Pass animation. Violet and Joker would Baton Pass by high fiving with both hands as a cute reference to their growing relationship in Royal.

Amazing video~ Daisy's "hot stuff" taunt would be giga perfect. There's even a mod out there where this taunt was implemented and the longer you held it the steam from Daisy's ass would actually ignite and explode and do damage, even kill at high percentage! I would like to see a similar taunt change for Sheik done for Young Link where he plays the Ocarina, and the tune he plays is Saria's theme. I would like to see some taunts for Wario's classic costume, that reference Wario Land and more specifically Wario World, where he could say lines like "I'm A Number 1" or could eat a piece of garlic and say okay. Reverting what Sonic says during his down taunt and side taunt back to what he said in Brawl would be awesome, I would abuse Sonic saying "You're Too Slow" and "Come On, Step It Up" so much. This type of discussion is a true rabbit hole for gamers, and I love it.

Awesome! That Ganondorf one was my favorite! Honestly, the taunts in Ultimate generally feel so generic and sterile. I'm curious if there are actually mods on like Gamebanana to change character taunts! That would be amazing! I'd love to see just silly or rude taunts like Incineroar flipping you off or something. 😆
