I just started to learn how to knit a couple of months ago, and I'm so, so happy to find your channel because I'm also a leftie and want to leart to knit the left-handed handed way. Your videos are so calming and your explanations are so clear. I'd like to try this to make a hat, it looks so unique!

Thank you. I'm glad you like my videos. Being a left handed continental knitter for over 50 years I have 'translated' all my knitting patterns intended for right handed English knitters. I have to understand the why before the how to make the patterns work for me. I guess that leads to complete explanations when I'm teaching a new stitch.

Thanks. Been knitting this way for 65 years. Works for me. No one was able to teach me left handed, so I taught myself.

The problem with 2 colors knitted flat is the next color to use can be on the wrong side. To fix this you need to use circular needles so you can work the same side twice. When the 2 colors end up on the same side you would turn and work the next color. When they are on opposite sides you work that side again. Whether a row is knit or purl is determined by the pattern. This can be done but you must be able to read your work to maintain a garter stitch.
