From htown but my mama was raised in l.a. till she was 17. Every summer I visited my auntie on 83rd and my uncles in Compton who lived in Carver Park and Leuders..I remember visiting and not being able to go outside or even play on the porch because my uncles was shooting at each. One was piru and one was crip. Crazy times.

Back then G’s we’re so Calm compared to the rowdy gangstas today. They had swagger that simply doesn’t exist today, a confidence and calmness like very organized. They were about the image of a real gangster, not like the rowdy angry crowds you see today. Also 100% of black gangstas would laugh at face tats, but today face tats are the standard image of a gangster rapper, so that itself is such a giant opposite, between the mindset of a 90s G vs. today.
