Ppl with curving skills never becomes bored, sick, or old, They have the one true cure for every thing, I'm not this skilled but I too enjoy this typa work a lot, Power curving is so similar to dental procedures, I do carvings to get my hands more practice, also filming wild birds help a lot!

I've had an interest in Ravens for a long time, Steve. They really are an intelligent bird. They live a long time and are able to communicate with each other and have a lot of vocalizations that they use. Thanks for your kind comment!
@sapelesteve7 жыл бұрын
Ravens are also known as "Wolf Birds". Interestingly, they are the only birds that can use tools & can figure out solutions to complex problems that require multiple steps to complete! Here is a good book on the subject: "Mind Of The Raven" by Bernd Heinrich. Fascinating read & he is one of my favorite authors. ALL of his books are worth reading........Steve

Hi Mike, John here again, just watched the latest with your Raven Pendant, your usual details even on such a small project are really good. Tell me Mike what wood did you use? also I have seen you burn scales on snake sticks, but why did you burn the edges of the feathers and then paint over in black? does this make the detail stand out? There you are Mike some more questions for you!!! Keep warm my friend and your family also, its a blizzard here in England, brrrrrr!!!
@StinnettSticks7 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much, John! I used Oregon Juniper wood for this pendant. The wood burner gets in-between the feathers and cleans up the wood fibers so it will have sharper detail. Thanks for the questions, John, it's always good to hear from you. And you stay warm, too, my friend! I heard about the Beast from the East!
