That turned out great! Glad to see you back! Once, many moons ago, I got to go up to the boundary waters area into Canada for a fishing trip. Rained whole week, cold and fishing was terrible until the last day we were there. Had an absolute ball tho! I hope to one day to come back up your way. Smallies and walleye! Might even bring home a beaver stick to carve!

Great instructional video. Lots of the old farms around me used their wood lots to supply lumber for outbuildings which are predominantly poplar species, balsam poplar or trembling aspen. Makes great dimensional lumber but once dried, needs to be predrilled or you had a hard time hand nailing so a lot of out buildings were assembled green. I think you’re discovering that fact for yourself and beavers love poplar.

Doug- you take as long as you want between videos, bcuz the camera angles of your wood search, the music, just everything is worth the wait! Your excitement in finding the right beaver chewed piece made me excited about them, too! Oh- and the ‘wrinkle head’ wood spirit you carved is absolutely amazing! Loved everything about this video! 🦫💖🌟🤘
