Good luck with the branches. FYI: the first branch, you showed us, had a star in the middle. Witches might be interested in it for wands, etc. it’s called star wood. We have an oak tree that has star wood.

That’s defo Cherry that bark is so beautiful we have one of the Tibetan Cherry trees in a special wood not far from me. I’ll take a picture n put it up on FB if I remember 😂

Can't wait to see what you do with some of the Burls on that big Poplar. I agree with you on the red paper-bark piece. It is Tibetan Cherry, native to China.

The wood you found is Tibetan cherry but not because of the colour of the sawdust. as you point out in your other video's western red ceder has a wide range of colours from red to chocolate brown. Copper bark birch is also dark wood as is Chinese red bark birch both of which resemble the wood you found on the beach. It's the lenticles on the bark that distinguish them not the colour of the wood.
