Jordy my problem was I cared too much that I thought I wasn't good enough to carve wood so nothing got done. My daughter sent me a link of your step by step carving of wood spirit and that inspired me to start carving and not be to critical on my own work. So far i have only carved 4 small wood spirits. I think your term of "I don't care" really means "It doesn't matter" I like your work. I am brand new to this. So new I haven't even carved anything yet. I'm still getting some things together and trying to make some room in my basement or garage for a work bench. I may have to do it outside in the back yard until I come up with some filtration system.

I personally don't have a problem that you say "I don't care" a lot. In my opinion, sometimes you have to say it. If I don't say "I don't care" once in a while, I get too stressed about carving mistakes.
