Great work. Enjoyed seeing your plan of attack. One thing I love about carving is if you can do this guy, you can easily change him up a ton of different ways. Thanks for your videos, I will be cruising thru!

It is an honor coming from the Master Carver, Mr Gene Messer, mind you sir, my carving style comes from you and one other. That's what I been telling them that my craft are bits and pieces from known carvers.

Hello Dan, I really enjoyed the video and I learned some from it. Not sure if you would be willing to do so, but, would you consider remaking the video as there is a lot of great technique that all of us newbies could certainly benefit from. It is an awesome whittle and I certainly look forward to more of your videos. Thank you for taking the time that you invested into making the video.

Hi dan thanks for showing us your aproach ,greetings from Wales UK ive subd maybe one day i can put one of my attempts on my channel ,its hard to get baswood blanks here last lot i got i was sold as baswood but it was a pine and it was too hard ,wish it grew over here
@dancarpio8130 Жыл бұрын
Hi Indiana, I don’t know if you have a Home Depot in Wales, you know a big store with construction supply. I started with pine, just have to choose white, less grain, inner soft side of pine wood and with a sharp knife, will do the trick. I get my basswood at eBay and shipment cost to your place maybe pricey. Wish you the best @Indiana Tone.

@@dancarpio8130 Hi dan thanks for replying ,we do have stores but wish we had home depo here in england. I think ive found the solution ,its a lime tree and theres one up the fields from me and the farmer had cut some branches off so i tried them and they do slice well in fact it seems like your cutting a parsnip lol, so i can get down to some witling again once my hand heals as i sliced it last week ,lesson learned wear a glove, anyway thanks carry on carving buddy.
