I don't know if you'll see this but my 16 year old son loves you. He started chainsaw carving about 6 months ago. He's wanted to be a wood worker since he was like 10 and works every summer to make a bunch of money to buy tools so he's ready to go when he graduates. This summer he bought a new smaller Husqvarna chainsaw with chaps and helmet, cnc router table, the jaw horse thing and next is the littlesanding finger thing., We got a TV in our shop just to watch KZbin like yours and we've pretty much watched every video. My son and husband are planning on carving a mushroom each out of a double stumped tree we just cut down and my son is going to sell your trees. We appreciate your videos very much! Thank you!

Don't let him chainsaw carve. Too dangerous. Buy him a reciprocating saw if you love him.

That’s a good looking walking stick. You make the smallest carvings look just as easy as the big ones. 😊😊😊😊😊

The smaller the carving, the harder the task. I've only been carving for 2 months, following your instruction, kept my first piece, but wow, I see much improvement . I just need to slow down toward finishing, too impatient to see the finished result . When I look back at the piece, I think I could've changed that! Keep carving the wood spirits! 👍👍👍

Hey Jordy. I like walking sticks and that one turned out great. The last one I did, I carved an eagle head out of birch and doweled it onto a pice of oak. I also got the same micro motor and I’m very happy with it so far. Thanks again.

When I was using the fluted Chinese craving bit with my Dremel flex shaft they kept on coming loose tried roughing up the bits with 80 grit machine shop sandpaper and the Colet but it just kept on happing so I bought a new Colet and black nut thingy and no more problem and those cheep Chinese deadly burrs are my favourite now . especially the smallest one great for getting in corners without rounding them off great video as always big J

Jordie my friend, it's great to hear you're fit for work again. Having spent a long while off work due to injury myself in the past, I know it feels awkward at first but you'll soon get back in the swing and appreciate how good it feels to be back with like minded workmates doing your stuff and calling out the bosses. Good luck to you pal. 👍

The metal burr is single or double cut? You help me a lot with your video and thank you a lot for this!

Wicked since you picked up that piece on the beach before you went to see Tyler Ive been wanting to start a walking stick carve in a nice piece of oak, so this is really gonna help. Thanks brother & I hope your doing good 😃🤟

You could slip a short piece of small tubing over the shaft of that burr to keep it from slipping into the collet
@robertcwillifordii26302 жыл бұрын
You've gotten micro wood shavings down between the bit and collet? That's my first thought of why the bit is loose. The collet is not in full, direct pressure contact with the bit.

I see the owwy , you wouldn't be a proper wood worker with out an owwy or two. I'm glad to hear your back to work. I dodged the bullet yesterday. I was struck by a car and was able to walk away from it. I can at least go back to work Monday.
