It's not insane, it's expected. Most bikes will have similar braking performance. The real reason why you think bikes stop slow is because you believe that the bumpy air strip CarWow uses in their videos, shows true bike braking performance. Which it does not. Bumpy surface is a kill for a narrow bike front tyre (rear tyre is almost not used at all). Do not believe carwow braking tests on that horrible surface. Genuine question - why does being a BMW fan matter? Isn't a good car just a good car (and a bad car just a bad car)? Asking since you've written a positive comment so hopefully won't see the question as hostile, since that often happens on the internet! I'm genuinely just curious though, never understood why people feel liking one brand should stop them liking another, or somehow have to defend their brand, but it seems to be a thing. I just like good cars and mock bad cars 😁 In some cases both - I very much enjoyed test driving a few BMWs last year, but I still asked the dealer if they had the optional indicators fitted 🤣 I don't think there's any brand I wouldn't consider owning a car from because of the badge, although BMW and Tesla do worry me a little because the fans are so aggressive about their brand so I'm not sure I'd want to be seen as part of that group. I'd happily have a M3P if they fitted it with a dash though, and an F82 M4 Comp came about 3rd place in my 20+ test drives trying to replace my porker last year. Also, since I've already written an essay (sorry 😄) may as well add - I 100% agree with your comment. Also based on a couple of recent drives, they're a lot more fun than I expected!

Also, this won't even be the fastest Ducati Panigale V4. Ducati always comes out with V4R and Superleggera models that are even faster! It looks like the motorcycle rider in this video was using the "slingshot" maneuver, which means he was piggy-backing off of the car's aerodynamics so he could experience a lower amount of wind resistance. I would have never thought about doing that while racing a car! That was smart! ANOTHER THING I JUST REALIZED. The bike in this video is using the standard exhaust. There's an optional exhaust from Akrapovič that will make the bike in this video even more powerful and less heavy 😮

I don't think a V4R will be any faster in 1/4 mile. These bikes are all towards the limits of physics.

@@jellethegreatest What do you mean by "limits of physics", there's nothing to stop a bike with more power and less weight going faster than this.
@Simon-bu4kc3 ай бұрын
@@4Kandlez yes... physics: you can't send more torque to the rear wheel than your weight/balance allows you to before you tip over. since 20+ years street legal superbikes are below the 3.0 second barrier to 100kph and since then they didn't break away from it very far.

The start has always been the weakest point of a racer type bike. Still a computer controlled launch of a nearly 1000 hp Audi E-tron isn't enough to stop this Panigale.

@@MrMk82It isnt about weight alone. The audi is far more expensive and has 4 big tyres. There are even cheaper bikes and better bikes for a dragrace that have launch control.

@@MrMk82 use the real number… It was closer to 800 KHP as shown in the video…. The rider weighs 40% with the bike does, and also seriously lifts the CG.
