I really love Mercedes, they are doing good job. I didnt like C and E class from 90s and early 2000's, but with w204 and w212 they were back on the track. Just beautiful cars. W205 and and w213 are great. Ofc new A class is something not like that small box that was before...

I think carwow and Mat Watson generally do excellent and concise reviews, but one thing never mentioned is reliability and dealer satisfaction ratings. I realise this is probably an intentional omission as you’re a sales outfit (which is fair enough), however for me those points are massively important - especially if you were choosing between something like a Merc, BMW or Audi for example?!

i just went to look at the new c class in a merc showroom and came out preferring the new b class.i think if you are looking at the c class,the e class makes more sense.on the other hand i found the b class a roomier option and a choice of power above 134 bhp either petrol or diesel a better buy than a c class.does anyone else agree with this.just something that made more sense to me after the visit.the new e class by the way is probably the best in its class. a truly amazing machine.

A note of warning, if where you stay has less than desirable roads, refrain from getting the AMG package which comes with the sports suspension, the car becomes extremely unforgiving and harsh and any small crevice will find its way to shake the cabin :).Although I do agree that the AMG package is a beauty, the sports suspension can really mess up the driving experience of the car :)

If you want to buy it today, it’s still a good choice. I bought an 2014 220d model, so 10 years old car and it still looks and sounds like a new car. I would it choose again and again and… I have a manual gearbox and it changes really soft. You will have the feeling of a real Mercedes.

Powered tailgate not standard you have to spend extra to get the premium pack. which was quite embarrassing when the merc dealer told me it doesnt i showed him the review and he said quote "this guy must be dreaming"

As long as you get the MB command sat nav (bigger screen) the interior is very nice. MB is knocking out class leading interiors left, right and centre..!

I don't get why everyone complains about the 2.1 engine. I drove a w205 220d and it was very quiet. The only part where it felt loudish was under hard acceleration.

I do like this car but I wasn't enamoured with the drive. it was soft but didn't take bumps well either. Mercedes offer more kit than the competition as standard and also quite good trim levels and packs with kit. I got a BMW 430d in the end. 6 weeks in it's awesome

A bit embarrassing when you say that the amg line suspension is too firm and then claim that the sport suspension is the best compromise which you are reviewing when in fact you are actually sat in the amg line. Just goes to show how a narrative can be spread by journalists jumping on the bandwagon of others and not be as impartial as they would like you to believe. For the record, the AMG line suspension is a tad to firm, but it's not down to the setup, it's down to the run flat tyres. Stick normal rubber on it and it transforms the ride to how it should be.

My driving school had c class cars (manual transmition) and i remember when we were about to go to the ”risk education no 2” (when we will test braking on a very very slippery road. The nearest place to do this were about 100 km from my city so we were 4 students and one teacher in this jouney... the teacher was about 190cm so he had the seat about all way back so there wasn’t any space for our legs... and two of the sutudents were 185cm so... yea... not more space there either... one of us were only about 175 so she had it better but then me.... 195 cm.... baaam... no legroom. And then think about to 185 cm boys and one 175 cm girl in the backseats when there are a 190 cm and 195 cm men in the front😂😂😂 But i can say that i loved driving that car though... exept one thin... the gearknob just felt cheap plastic in the manual car... but the gear chancging was great, but just when touching the stick you felt like you sat in some cheap car😅

I can't stand the gear lever on the steering wheel. Feels really awkward. I'm happy that they have foldable rear seats, unlike my old 2007 C280 4matic. Though I don't like that they're kind of narrow, as mentioned in the review. Aside from that this car is great. Too bad no diesel version here in Canada, so gas mileage is not that great :/

I am confused! Is this the 2016 or 2017 model? Because i am hearing that MB is planning on changing the head & rear lamps as well as installing the dual LED screens borrowed from the E-Class 2017 and S Class for the 2017 model! The 2017 model is being manufactured during August 2016 typically after their summer holidays.... Does anyone have any information about this?

This review is very confusing. The car is clearly an AMG Line, not a Sports model. Yet you mention that it has the Sports suspension. Is it an AMG Line with Sports suspension from factory, or just an AMG line, which means the suspension is not as harsh as you say?

I just wish they made the display retractable like they did with their previous models. I just know its going to be outdated in a few years. Wish the whole display thing in cars would be set aside a bit maybe move towards windshield hud displays. Im a huge techie but just dont like the look of a screen on a dashboard

Without having muchknowledge about how transmissions work i can say that the manual gearbox is phenomenal at least in th A180 D. Comparing the gearbox in my Renault clio from 2013 it´s the best gearbox i have ever worked with it´s smooth in fact very smooth. The Renault gearbox however is a mess it´s very difficult putting it in reverse for some reason and it is just not as smooth as the Mercedes. Now i do agree that having a manual gearbox in a Mercedes is a bit weird in fact it should be a crime. Something i have to ask though. is the automatic gearbox in that model you tried slow in downshifting because that is an issue i have had in the car i tested at my local Mercedes dealer it was very quick and responsive in upshifting but going down again was a bit laggy.
