Almost completely specced out, 360 degree camera, Navigation package, Stage 1 auto drive, the list goes on. Comparing to what you get for double the amount when purchasing let’s say a BMW or Mercedes, you get way better value for money. Now I know the cameras are better on a BMW or whatever, but I mean you kinda get what you pay for, and I don’t need a 1080p camera for orientation, a 720p maxes the job just as good. Lets not forget that a 360° camera option costs 3x as much as it does on a Renault.

Matt I have had 2 Renaults of late - both clios RS line and now esprit alpine - the radio controls on the separate stalk are far more user friendly and logical once you start to use them - I never need to take my eyes off the road to adjust radio volume - think that is far safer than any other cars I have had
@E2rd19946 ай бұрын
Why majority of automotive journalists keep complaining about these radio levers in french cars? Just do ANY UX research and you will actually find out IT IS BETTER than any controls placed on the steering wheel. Why? Because they simply don't move, meaning you can easily find them in the same place every single time, e.g. when you need to go on reverse and want to turn down the radio (to see better 😛 ... or simply, to focus or hear the parking sensors). Switched from french to japanese car some time ago and actually am missing A LOT radio control as a lever.

It's the most intuitive secondary volume control buttons I agree. I also missed that from ford fiesta when I sold it, after using those the steering volume buttons feel counterintuitive.

Yes, it is indeed all about UX. And it is beyond comprehension that this hasn't become some sort of standard by now. Probably most manufacturers think most people are too stupid to use it. But it is the easiest and safest way to control the audio. To all people that think this is nonsense: you'd be amazed how quickly you get used to it. I've had it on a Renault more than 20 years ago and I've been missing it ever since.

Once your hand gets used to the position of the controls, they are much more practical and faster to use. The ride is a bit odd in that generally it seems good but occasionally quite fiddly. Yes it is in fact a really nice car to drive it looks great and the finish seems pretty good. This fits in fairly well with the road test -except most people buy a hybrid for the fuel economy and this seems a bit underplayed in the test. The official figure of over 60 mpg is quite an achievement that almost matches the Toyota Yaris but with better performance.

The steering stereo controls maybe look stupid, but Renault long time users love it.. Once you use them.. you cannot forget... They are much better to use that in steering controls.

Pretty sure quick tilt seats were in most cars in the day or am I imagining things? You lifted a lever then used your body weight to move them to the back in seconds. My 2003 Daewoo Matiz had it (terrible car) but thought it was a cool feature. Seems like companies stopped them?
