Had the newest Corrola Hybrid with every optional extra you can have as a company car for about two years. Lane assist is actively trying to kill you. It would just randomly jerk you of road. What I would do, because it is active every time you start a car is that I would switch on and off cruse control and than would somehow switch off lane assist. Keep in mind that I had that car in Sweden with every road I have driven it had markings on tarmac

B mode in Toyotas is ONLY for descending mountain passes or steep descents. It should never be used during normal driving. I own a Hybrid Toyota. You can read it in the user manual. It does not regenerate much more energy. Instead it uses engine brake to slow you down. That is the only purpose

I have had my Yaris Cross for just over a year. It is nice to drive (better than you might imagine) and frugal on petrol. Cold weather affects the main battery, so restricts fuel consumption, but I have never had below 60 mpg and 70+ is not unusual, even in British summer. Road noise can be a bit intrusive, especially given the appalling state of Britain's roads, but the real bugbear with the car is the 12 volt battery that runs the tech that operates the doors, the alarm, the parking brake, etc and most significant, the ability to start the car. If you take extra long holidays or use the car infrequently, the battery will lose its charge and becomes immobile. You can't even push it because of the electronic parking brake. There is a jump start point in the fuse holder under the bonnet, but my recommendation, if you buy one of these cars (and I believe the same problem occurs with other hybrids and EVs) and use it infrequently, is to buy a solar charger. Amazon, for example, will sell you the AA Solar Charger, which plugs into the EOBD socket, under the dashboard above the brake pedal, for under £30.

I was a passenger in an older version of this car and didn't have a great experience. While the newer model might have some improvements, in my case, the transition between electric mode and the engine was quite rough. Accelerating quickly from a standstill caused noticeable shaking, and the pickup for highway merging was underwhelming, even with the electric motor's assistance. Additionally, when driving on the motorway, the car felt like it wanted to roll around corners, especially in the back seats. It doesn’t seem well-suited for highway driving and requires a cautious and easy approach in the city. Having been in other Toyota hybrids before, I expected better from this one. Personally, I don't see the appeal of these crossovers and think the standard Yaris Hybrid would be a better option.

Honestly, I don’t really feel like the interior space is all that different from a regular Yaris-it just sits a bit higher, like a lifted version. Looks bigger, really isn't in the inside where it counts.
@erikdudorin35794 күн бұрын
@@mkristofic Idk, when i tried it and compared to regular Yaris, the difference was like night and day. Boot is very good ( could carry 2 boxes with plants, while Yaris could not even 1), rear seat headroom is just enough for me not to hit a ceiling ( in regular Yaris i had to sit like a question mark symbol) and ground clearance is perfect for not to fear hitting something with bumper. Cross version is even still fun to drive. Sound insulation could be better though and arm rests softer, especially on doors.

Using B mode in a Toyota will increase your fuel consumption, it is only for use to provide engine braking on a steep descent. It has no effect on regeneration.

Test drove the Toyota Premier, top of the range, Yaris Cross against the Nissan Juke N Sport hybrid. The more powerful motor in the Premier was a huge improvement over the older115 BHP. Interior was poor compared to Juke which was more solid, better seats, much better digital dashboard, storage (surprisingly large glove box, centre armrest cubby) , infotainment (the around view camera was a fuzzy affair compared to the crisp screen on the Nissan) , ergonomics (the camera button and several others are hidden under the right hand side dash, I had to open the door in order to see them 😀) etc. Expected the Jukes 19 inch wheels (why Nissan?) to be awful and was pleasantly surprised by the better ride and body control. Toyota 10-15mpg better than the Nissan, as well as other positives like roof rails, powered tailgate, warranty, sun roof option, through load and centre cup holders etc. In the end the Juke just seemed like a larger more solid, planted on the road car that I would rather spend time in, showing the importance of long test drives. 👍

i ve driven the yaris cross multiple times (pre facelift), and yes you can drive it very economical, but sometimes you rather have the feeling it's a dacia than a toyota, the interior is extremely cheap made. you got almost 0 sound isolation. the doors feel cheap while opening and closing as well as the trunk, there is no electric sunroof available, the seats give 0 support. i could live with all of that apart from the really bad seats, but considering the price...i mean wtf...i really like SUVs, I don't need one i am not driving one but the price is just sick, you get a corolla sw, for moreless the same with a smoother engine, way better sound isolation, seats, interior quality, space and trunk space... I like the higher seating position but it's not worth the price. i would not recommend driving a toyota hybrid in b mode unless you really go downhill, cuz the regen stays the same, but the engine kicks in and supports to slow down which feels weird and is not very economical.

Why are people still buying New cars/vehicles. for such ridiculous prices. Why can't people learn? A vehicle the size of a Yaris should be is about 12 to 15K max. If people stop paying the manufacturers wouldn't have any choice but to reduce the prices so....... Waste of my time making comments now. KZbin have decided that. pointing out. stating facts is against their policies.. such as them controlling who sees Jordan Peterson's videos.

It used to be my family car. Easy to drive, have a simple centre console, got good mileage, and well designed. What I don’t like about it is such as, rear seats are bit small and won’t be reclined to the fullest, though these are not big deals. Overall, it’s the most cost efficient car of all other similarly sized vehicles.

Had test drive with the new Yaris Cross and am not impressed, the engine is not powerful for such large car, the space inside is not good - Corolla is way more spacious! I would buy Corolla tbh this Yaris Cross is pointless, just lifted Yaris 😂 Edit : The seat killed my back, really uncomfortable for longer than 15 min drive
