**Welcome, friends!** We have already watched some videos on left-side judgment, but today, we are going to explore a few additional points that were not mentioned in those videos. Before we proceed, let's first understand what left-side judgment is. For example, if a truck is driving on the left side, it can be challenging to judge the distance between your vehicle and the truck. This difficulty in judging distance often leads to accidents, particularly on highways, where two-wheelers on the left side are frequently struck by cars. The reason for these incidents is poor left-side judgment, as drivers are unable to accurately gauge the gap between their vehicle and the white line on the road. As a result, two-wheelers often get hit even after crossing the white line. So, how can we avoid this? First, park your car in a straight line in a quiet place, leaving a gap of 1 to 2 feet from the side. Adjust the gap according to your comfort level-whether it’s 1 foot or 2 feet. Once parked, take a piece of cello tape and cut a small section. Now, draw a line between the car and the road, and place the sticker at the point where the line intersects. This sticker will be your reference point for left-side judgment. Even if you draw a straight line from the sticker, it will lead directly to the road, right at the junction between the road and the concrete. We’ll use this line as a guide for our practice. Once you’ve mastered this technique, you won’t need the sticker anymore. Pay close attention to this point: the line that matches the concrete and the road should be straight. When looking through the left-side mirror, you should see that a gap of 1.5 to 2 feet is maintained. I’ll show you from the outside-you can clearly see the gap between the road and the concrete. Now, let’s talk about curves. You shouldn’t use this reference point when driving through a curve. We didn't cover this in the previous video, so let's discuss it now. When you match the reference point to the curve, observe what happens-the 1.5 feet gap is maintained initially, but as you start the curve, the car will almost touch the concrete because the reference point becomes unreliable. So, what should you do? When approaching a curve, move the reference point slightly to the right. Drive straight first, and then gradually turn left. This will help you maintain the gap even in curves. Now, let’s use the left-side mirror again. You’ll notice that the gap is consistently maintained. At this point, you no longer need to rely on the sticker because even if the front wheels are positioned correctly, the back wheels might drift if you focus too much on the reference point. When driving in reverse, left-side judgment can be tricky. Here's how to do it easily: first, shift into reverse gear. Use both the side mirror and the reverse mirror to check if there’s anyone or any vehicle behind you. Also, monitor the gap on the left side, especially in hilly areas where large boulders can be hazardous. If the reference point matches correctly, you’re in good shape. However, if you encounter a curve while reversing, the reference point will no longer match as the car moves. In such cases, adjust the steering slightly while checking the side mirror to maintain the gap. As the car begins to move closer to the concrete, steer in the opposite direction to regain the gap. You’ll notice that the gap decreases from 1.5 to 2 feet, but by adjusting the steering, you can maintain the gap as needed. This is left-side judgment, which is particularly useful on highways. Use this technique only when you’re new to driving; once you gain more experience, try not to rely on it too much, as it can become a distraction. Now, as I drive along the line, there's a 2 feet gap between the car and the line. If you move further away from the reference point, you can create a larger gap if needed. If a two-wheeler is driving on the right side of the white line, you may need to increase your distance slightly. This concludes our session on left-side judgment. With practice, you’ll be able to judge the left side effectively and drive safely on highways.

This updated left side judgement review with reference to drive in a curved road would be more helpful to beginners. Because a learner in a curved road would try to prefer the usual left side judgement reference point adoptable for straight roads which would lead to dangerous moving towards the curved platform.
