during my test drive and in a busy shopping place, i didn't have any trouble whatsoever thanks to the excellent surround view cameras and aids getting in and out between two cars was no problem despite the massive size i didn't drive it on narrow roads

So real-life range is just about 300-320 with vety limited and/or expensive charging option. Marvelous. And people really consider this as an alternative of 1,000+ km cars which can be re-fueled anytime anywhere?

Charging at home is neither limited, nor expensive. The vast majority of people don’t need more than 300 mile on a round trip for their daily driver. Those that do, have alternatives as you describe

@ first of all, 320 km. And charging at home, yes, this is called limited. Other options, sure, they are expensive and limited. So again, limited and/or expensive.

Any sensible and safe driver will take a break from driving every so often. Charging at home works well and saves loads of money. In four years we have charged away from home three times. EVs are very practical these days.

As a G30 520d driver doing 53mpg I would'nt take one of these if they gave it to me for nothing. This would be like me filling my car each time just 1/3rd full, and waiting 45min or so to do so, and thats assuming the chargers are'nt taken, or broken. Then there is the added expence of the home charger install, no thanks. A hybrid maybe, but this, nah. I don't understand what BMW are playing at by not bringing in the Diesel version, and the SE version, not everyone wants a Msport. And 90 grand, what a joke. Not surprised I haven't seen any on the roads around me, which is in stark contrast to the previous models, G30 and F10's

Not an appealing proposition at all to be honest, it’s just a joke of a car. Why would anyone want to buy such an expensive “pain” and not 520d? I simply don’t get it

Because if you don't drive 300km+ a day (like most people) an electric drivetrain is a great option once you can charge at home overnight.
