I just went after a 14 month reservation wait. I'd never been but my wife grew up going as a kid. This place is magical. I'm so glad it was saved and from what I have been told, 95% of the original feel is all there - preserved. What a wonderful place. Matt and Trey are heros.

@@FleeebCrabinProductionsEven though I prefer Season 7, and it’s my favourite season of South Park, I think Season 8 is objectively the best season of it, simply because every single episode in that season in particular is pure comedy gold. Trey and Matt made Season 8 during the same year they made Team America (2004), which they said was the most stressful time of their lives, which just adds to the weight of what a masterpiece season 8 is, in my opinion. It is beyond impressive to me what they pulled off that year in particular, given the insane amounts stress they were both under, in terms of consistency in both production quality and a ridiculously good level of comedic content.

The heroes we deserve. Seriously guys. This is like someone saying “remember that childhood memory you thought was lost forever? Instead of turning it into a Home Depot, two guys spent a considerable amount of their fortunes SAVING it” I’ll be forever grateful. It’s quite possibly the nicest thing a stranger has EVER done for me, and I’m a lucky guy. Can’t wait to see the documentary, and as always: THANKS MATT AND TREY!!!

I'm a proud Casa Bonita Cult Follower! The unforgettable smell of Casa Bonita-a hint of chlorine mixed with adventure-is forever etched in my memory. As a kid in the '70s and early '80s, my parents would take me to Casa Bonita 1-2 times a year, with EVERY birthday celebrated there. As 40 years later I've flown friends in from out of state just to experience it! Someday, I hope to either propose on stage or get married there. And yes, jumping off that cliff is still on my bucket list! I can't wait for this documentary to hit Minneapolis-I'll be there for every screening!

I will definitely be making a trip now to visit the cousins, lol

I used to throat my bff there under the water we were just experimenting obviously but he would always hold my head underwater and absolutely jackhammer my throat while looking around to make sure the coast was clear. I still remember the squelching suction sound it made, I had to practically unhinge my jaw because my friend would be pumping _so_ vigorously. He said it never felt as good as it did out of water because even though my throat was really warm and deep, the water took away the lubrication so he didn't get to experience that slimy feeling although sometimes he would grab hold of my hair and lift his hips up out of the water so that he could feel it -- he would just snatch my hair and push/pull my head back and forth as fast as he could and he said my dad would be looking around confused because he could hear me going "GURK GURK GURK GURK GULURH GLURGL GURGH" but we were tucked away by some fake bushes in the water lmao

With as much disposable income as Trey must have, this was the PERFECT indulgence. I bet he felt as much relief as he did stress to make the re-opening happen. It’s a nightmare and, at the same time, elation to finally be eating away at that stash of gold bars piling up at his bank for a great cause and idea. Some wealthy people collect expensive cars, or jewelry. Trey resuscitates memories. And all it’s gonna do is make him even richer!

Part of me feels the city/state should of stepped in a little to help out with such a landmark. I'm sure there's plenty of bullshit the government is doing in Colorado can be diverted to preserving the places it's future depends on; establishments with focus on children's interactions with their community.

So funny seeing everyone look at this place. I used to live like 12 blocks from it a while back. Such a strange area. If you remember the gentrification episodes, this area is a great example. Your walking around a nice neighborhood and then you walk two more feet and there is the halfway house, and closed business with graffitit all over. Casa Bonita is in the crummy part... before I moved, several years ago, they randomly named the crummy part 40 west arts district, haha setting up for the gentrifiying.

Ha, I've been there years ago. The food was not good. Hopefully it better. Not surprised they found so much wrong with it.

Trey and Matt are re----s. It's really idoitic to even think that these two wannabes didn't have this "documentary" scripted. That recent Vanity Fair interview presented Trey as a self-destructing doofus. He liked make an idiotic claim that Denver was the only place where critics didn't praise South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut

I wonder if it would have been cheaper to build an all-new Casa Bonita instead, possibly even bigger?
