In Matosinhos just north of Porto, visit the Casa da Arquitectura to see exhibits on architecture and learn more about design in Portugal.
Opening in 2017 and designed by Guilherme Machado Vaz, the old industrial building was renovated to house exhibits with new staircases added to the exterior. You can join their tours of architectural sites nearby such as Siza’s Tidal Swimming Pool.
Nearby try the municipal market in Matosinhos for fresh local food or the Taberna Lusitana restaurant where you can select your fish from the market and have them prepare it for you.
