Morocco in our Motorhome is going great. We made our way to Casablanca for the day to check out the largest Mosque outside of Saudi Arabia (Hassan II Mosque). We also have our first experience with gourmet food in Morocco. Amazing.
Thank you to "Carlos:, whoever you are, for arranging al of the paperwork for our selves and our motorhome to cross into Morocco.

Also, thank you to Sarah Crofts with veedubadventures (veebubadventures.co.uk) for all of your amazing insight for getting into Morocco.

Hey y'all I really love watching your videos. I have always wanted to see Morocco. I'm glad you're there. Jessica I love your pink hair. Will you have beautiful eyes. I have to say I like your hair shorter the way it was in your earlier videos. Keep up the great work both of you. I really think you could do a show on the travel channel. I enjoy watching because you are real people and down to earth. Thanks

Thank you Elizabeth! Big virtual hug to you. We do our best just to be us on camera, we are not actor so being someone else would never be sustainable. Ha. You should definitely come for a visit, it is fabulous! Thanks for the hair compliment. Will and I are going to do a vlog just on how I do my hair since it is requested so much. I was wondering if I could keep it up in the motorhome, but frankly it is quite simple. Will's eyes are how he lured me in. 20 years together and those darn eyes still get me every time. His hair is another fun topic. He has been a corporate guy for decades and when we started WorldTowning he was free of the "look a certain way" part of his career. At this point he decided to try growing it out for the first time ever! He does not know how long he will keep it, but for now he is enjoying it some days and pulling it out others.

I'm so happy I recently found your channel (new sub)! I've travelled a lot in Europe, but have always been interested in seeing Morocco. Most of the people I know here in the US keep telling why I should NOT travel to Morocco (coming mostly from a place of fear) and I'm glad to see you guys out there providing first hand information as to why everyone SHOULD see Morocco! I know it is not all wine and roses, but attitude always has a lot to do with how an experience evolves. I look forward to your future adventures (will help to shape my plans to see Morocco, I'm sure) and thanks for sharing! Happy travels!!:)

So great to have you. These are the experiences that we have seen with other travelers. They start with things that interesting and then they more on to things that are adventurous and then they start realizing that anything is possible and then start hitting the bucket list spots. Go with your gut and visit what you want. People are good everywhere. What we have seen is that the locals are so excited to be with people who are equally excited to be there. Discovery is an amazing thing. Hope you are enjoying the videos. If you have any suggestions or comments, let us know. Thanks.

heya lovelies! What I understood is that the reason why male to female ratio is disproportionate in a mosque is because the woman's prayer in her house is equivalent to that of the man in the mosque and just as blessed, for she is the mother, the keeper of the household and receives lots of blessings from God and his angels just by taking care of things...but she can go whenever! Fathers need to go more often though, they don't have as much blessing as mothers praying in their houses. All about context I guess!

Don't forget to spend few days in essaouira, the view of the fortification from the rocks near the beach is stellar, the speciality there is "tagine de congre au pruneaux" it's a kind of fish with prunes. Also I found the way they consider hygiene and traditionnal pharmacy interesting, they use dry perfumes, kohl is not just for beauty and they eat only with the right hand. also I hope you have already tried the "thé à la menthe", mint tea as it is the favourite beverage in north africa. enjoy !!!
@jsueiro1

It is on our list after Marrakesh! Can't wait. I hear the seafood is to die for! And I love anything prune. Adore the tea! I have it twice a day. I do have to ask them to do less sugar. 6 cubes is just too much for me. Thanks for all your amazing insight.

I hope you are not to early in marrakech, in spring it smells orange flower everywhere. and try to do a tour of the small villages outside marrakech, a real time travel. I also remember that in essaouira there are shops that are best describe as cookery, it's not a restaurant, but a place where you come with the food you bought at the market and they cook it for you and you can eat there.

I found your channel when I was searching for French travel vlogs - and enjoyed a wonderful few weeks of binge watching those videos... :) This is my first time watching a more current video and I must say, I am so impressed by your progress with editing and even video narrative. I absolutely love the 'home video' style of the French series but this definitely has a more 'you-tubey' professional look. Very surprised that your subscriber count hasn't grown more substantially - perhaps a couple of short articles sent into travel blogs might heighten your profile. Especially ones catering to New Zealand and Australia - so many of us home school and travel with our kids. Anyway, long comment from someone who usually lurks, but I wanted to say Great Job and I'm looking forward to seeing Morocco with you. Kia Kaha from Aotearoa! :)

Feel better Will and get medical assistance if it gets worse. Tell the kids they should get a small stash of goulimine beads in the markets...the real ones. Also known as “Christmas beads”. I still have a few in my stash after almost 40+ years. Only special ppl get gifted these from me. If you have hearty stomachs eat at the kiosks in the market in Marrakesh...those ladies know everything about exquisite spicing. Yummmmm🤩

attempt to answer your question in 13:40 about why there is a disproportion of capacity between men and women or why there is more space for men : - Mosque for men is an obligation, while for women it's optional - there are periods where women are relieved from their prayer duties (during their period, or after giving birth). Therefore the numbers are expected to be lower

Hey Will! Women generally are allowed to do their prayers at home. This accounts for the smaller size of the prayer room designated for women in the mosque perhaps. Men however don't have the same excuse. Generally, Islam isn't as exacting as one might think. Back in the times of early islam women used to be in charge of household tasks and of taking care of the children. This tradition has been passed down through generations ever since. Women today , though, aren't strictly confined to their homes and family duties and can go to the mosque more if they wish. There is nothing that can hold them from this if they wish. They can also choose to do their prayers at home, no problem at all.

13:31 you had a good question regarding the unbalance capacity of different genders and that is mainly due to the fact in Islam Women aren’t forced to pray at the mosque which is the complete opposite for Man. And that is mainly why Women prefer to pray at home.

I love every video and I hope you are able to continue documenting your travel at least for the next two planned years. As a side note, your kids, along with being wonderfully polite and terrifyingly smart, share an affectionate relationship to one another that is so moving, and a testament to your wonderful family. My two kids are also an older sister-younger brother pair, so the combo is close to my heart.

We do intend to continue creating. The end product is amazing and knowing that we have it forever makes it worth it. The kids definitely do love each other and team up as often as possible. We just finished playing team battleship and the kids refused to separate as a team. So cute. BTW - Kids won. Ugh!

There was the largest outdoor swiming pool in Africa called piscine municipal built under the French occupation in 40s maybe not too sure. Google it for more information. I remember that so well because I went to school nearby called Raja in 1972 when I was a kid, it's still there till this day.

For your question, about the dispersion between man and women prayers is that for man in the Quran he must go to the mosque, but women its not necessary she can just pray at home.
@TitusM7
@TitusM7 6 жыл бұрын
In general Muslim men are required to pray in the mosque each and every prayer while the ladies are not it's a choice for them (correct me if i'm wrong) but i believe that's the reason behind the numbers EDIT: you already got that :)

Hello ! In the mosque the place where women prays is smaller than the place for men because it is an obligation for the men to pray at the mosque but this is optional for women.

The reason why the number of women is smaller is because the rewards for women praying at home is higher than in the mosque.. also the responsibility at home.
