I had never thought of Morocco as a destination before, especially for train trips. This vid has changed my mind. I remember when we were in The Canaries, you could take a day trip to Morocco. but instead we took a 3 day trip to Madrid., for $100US, hotel and airfare, for both of us. Well, it was the 80's before Spain joined the EU. Thanks for showing us Morocco

Thanks for this amazing video. I had no idea what Morocco was like. I noticed that in all the shots of the stations, towns and local scenery how clean everything looked. Also the train passengers all seemed civilized and calm. ( unlike the current situation in Europe where you see discusting graffiti everywhere, dirt and rubbish, as well as loud, annoying and inconsiderate passengers. This was great to watch.

Thank you so much for the trip report. I am so surprised, that in Africa that kind of high speed travel is in service. But please be careful with these open outside doors. As a former conductor I know that they can get a closing impact for some reason and if this happens while driving, the doorshield is clapping hard as hell when it slides against the moving direction. So please take care and make sure, that the door must close in the same direction if you don't want to get hurt or kicked out. Furthermore you should never be outside the train at the departure time. It did happened to me, that the time of closing doors, starting the engine and accelerate took less than one second and so they left without me.

The thing with Moroccan trains, is that the lines are not really that many only 2200km of train lines and 320km of high speed train line, in comparison with the size of the country, but more than 80% of the Moroccan population lives along these lines. they are starting work on expanding the high speed lines to 1300km, come back when or if it's finished 😅😅(the 320km costed them 2billions wish is impressive tbh, but idk how they want to expand it to +1000km with only 1 billion of investment so far so idk how they are planing on doing it )

@@NonstopEurotrip yes ofc, but the 20% left are unfortunate for living in mountains and deserts wish makes train lines building there very expensive or/and almost impossible. there are trains in the eastern desert but only for transportation of minerals I think, the tracks get covered with sand very often and they can spend up to 48h shoveling the sand to let the train pass. rip ppl living in the desert

interesting, I was sure that Marrakesh would be the capital, since it has a huge Royal Palace, but then, there are probably multiple residences, one in every major city... in reality, this is a country where the capitals location is not that important, it is a state where the King and his government travels the land, and it is a land of which it can be truly said that "The Capital is where the King is"... they do not sit isolated in one place as it happens in some other countries.
