I found the video (a commenter mentioned James Hoffman reviewed this being an Aldi model): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqapgpWffruIodk He gives his reasoning as to why. And I can understand that. It did take some trial and error to get the right grind size and output I wanted. But once I did, I do like the espresso. (Im starting to question myself after watching the video tho 😆) But I’ve had the nespresso pixie, the cafe affetto, I’ve tried the breville and tons of diff local coffee shops. And I’d say it’s not as bad as his review makes it out to be. I wonder if they upgraded anything in the meantime since the video. It was disappointing to find out it’s a standard model that anyone can slap their logo on, or at least that’s what it looks like :/

WOW thank you - best review I have seen on KZbin, You actually used a glass and showed the crema and mentioned to LOWER the grind size - all these other reviews so far I have seen, seem like they were paid off by Casabrews and they have no idea how to make a good espresso - thank you so much for your awesome detail.

I got it and it was great, currently the psi don’t increase to the expresso mark. Don’t know why as I’m using the same grinding # as before when it was working fine.

First, use a tamper and apply 20 Ibs of pressure. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, you need to use finer settings on your grinder. Hope this helps.

Great video but I don't coffee my husband drinks coffee but not alot like some people do he either makes it at home or get a coffee from McDonald's. He doesn't use a fantastic coffee pot he's a regular coffee pot to make his coffee . Thanks for sharing this . Have a great day 😊💞

I was up until about a week or two ago. I gifted it to my sister. And ended up keeping the cafe affetto for myself but I much prefer the Casabrews to the cafe affetto (honest opinion). I think it’s worth it.

Oh wow, that’s crazy. Casabrews did come out with a few newer machines including the Casabrews pro version of this with an LCD screen. Looks neat. Wonder if it’s specific to Casabrews

@@TashVitorsky the machine is pretty decent, I have one at home (Baumann Professional Espresso machine with grinder) it sells here in the Philippines for about 400$ but it doesn’t come with good accessories ie it came with a plastic tamper the 1 tbs scoop and the usual single and double shoot basket, thats about it. It would be nice if the distributor here brings that “upgraded” version … I would probably look into it .. but as of now I’m planning on replacing it with the Breville Barista Express Impress …

OMG It's the Aldi Ambiano!!! Probably sold under various brand names. Search KZbin for World Barista Champion James Hoffman's review and learn the technical aspects why this is the worst espresso machine ever and be entertained at the same time!!

I had to go to google search and saw a photo from ALDI UK for the ALDI ambiano and you’re right. That’s crazy. Must be a standard machine sold under diff names. That’s disappointing. But so far I do like it.
