Thanks a bunch mate! ❣️🙌 Agree when you say: «Fy faan!». As you know, I had it up to 140kph/84mph today. Ill post a video of how that went probably later this week.

Stick a quick action throttle on, that Lambretta wants to move fast at scary speeds for a scooter ☘️💚

Hi, looks and sounds like a lovely Scooter - I have never owned a Lambretta but my Wife has recently bought me a Royal Alloy GT 125 ? I have already passed my full Bike licence so not too sure why she has bought me a GT125 ? Anyway - my question is - is there really that much in it when you have experienced 100 mph plus from a large capacity machine and then drop down to sub 70 mph from a two stroke / four stroke Scooter ? If any of the above sounds derogatory - it is not meant to ! It is a genuine question from a Mature Rider ? Many thanks, Will.

Hi Rob, such a fun video thanks😆 I wonder if your recording paraphernalia could have been impacting upon the handling? I'm sure that Rimini recommend the use of standard springs in conjunction with the Casa disc. Maybe I will keep my 150 engine in the DL and just put my SST up on the mantle just to look at. With that rain, a little water injection can't hurt. Some bikes used to have it 🌧

Hi Rob, just love watching your videos, could you tell me if you changed the carb jettings, when you built the SST engine, and what mixture you used for running in, not sure if what rimmini say might be too rich ? Cheers.

Me too. I have a mate running one on a lectron and he is super happy with that. I would love to try a smart carb but it's a lot of money for an experiment

@@kickbackgarage Good point. I just really like what I've seen on KZbin, seems like great technology. I can understand why people go for tried and tested traditional carbs, though.

I know most will say it defeats the object but would it run better with a 28mm carb and a clubman exhaust
@kickbackgarage Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, casa have now developed a special box exhaust that they call the tourque pipe and they recommend a 30mm carb with that. It dumbs the kit down a bit because it doesn't rev as high but apparently it still pumps out 30bph and picks up a earlier with loads of torque low down.

From what I’ve heard a lot of people are now choosing the the tour version over the race version still bags of power but useable power the race is ballistically quick but a lot more challenging to ride at slower speeds and in traffic. Lovely scooter would love to compare it to my tuned Rb 37hp atw obviously you’d be quicker but by how much 🤔

I had a tuned rb250. This is completely different.

Yes. It was the edge of the loop that was bent slightly
@ScooteristFellini2 жыл бұрын
Correct Ian, I (Audun) grabbed a wise grip and bent the loop outwards, hehe. Also had another mate weld on a triangle strengthener (JB fabrication supplied) on the engine mount while at it. It is tight, but it is working. :D

In second gear. It can rev upto 9500. Not my cup off tea, I prefer torque lower down. I imagine it is quite a handful on the tight twisting roads I normally aim for.
@Lambretta-images2 жыл бұрын
@Kickback Garage the casa 265's seem geared very short which makes them far to lively for road use. My GT300LC is geared very long. 3.8 final drive using AF 5 speed with long 34 tooth 5th and 47x22 primary drive. 5800 rpm returns 74mph (120 kph) with max power at 8300 rpm. You mentioned a flat spot on the casa265, maybe this is why they are geared short so they can pull through that flat area at lower rpm. Interesting insight from your video, thanks :)
@kickbackgarage2 жыл бұрын
It's down to exhaust choice on the SST. The touring pipe pulls taller gears.
