Don't forget to stop every few hours so the baby can get out of the car seat and get their circulation moving!

Cross country with my pregnant self, a toddler and my dog lol it’s fun but omg it was hard and it was just me. So if I can do it you mamas definitely can!! *TIP* : take a training potty just in case there are no restrooms or they are closed because there will be stretches of long distances with no rest stops

Thank you for this! We are taking an 8 hour road trip soon with our 3 month old. I’m pretty nervous about disrupting his sleep. The end of your video saying it’s worth it for the memories and fun is so true!

The only video I watched to the end! Planning a long road trip tomorrow, we’ve done 5-6 hours before but this one is much longer. We have a cooler that we can plug in the car, it helps keep healthy snacks cold and fresh for Baby without the mess of ice. Packing ahead is brilliant, saves you time and allows you to stay on time. Great idea about bringing new toys as well, especially that my baby gets bored too quickly. At home we hide some of his toys and bring them back after a few days so he’s excited about them again. Thank you for this video! Beautiful family and very helpful tips

These comments… y’all are too obsessed with the recommendations of “experts” rather than the reality of real human beings. Think for yourselves. Clearly her baby is fine! Both of them!!

Mariah B - how was the road trip for you with your 10 month old? We are taking ours from CA to Yellowstone soon and a little worried lol!
@mariahb31787 жыл бұрын
We left at night so he'd sleep a lot of the way which he did so that was nice. He was was snuggled with a cover up to his neck so his neck wouldn't be sore from falling over. We brought a lot of toys for him while he was awake. We have a mirror to see him while driving since he is rear facing, and a fan plug into lighter plug to help keep him cool! He honestly did so well, but he's been good since he was a baby. He eventually cried once we reached the 14 hour mark, understandably! We just kept getting him to fall back asleep, even during the day time since I know his sleep wasn't that peaceful during the night. Oh and we stopped every 3-4 for a car seat break, food, and diaper change! Good luck! We're here now and have to drive back soon lol 🙂

Mariah B - that's a good idea leaving at night. We tried when she was a newborn and she cried the entire way was awful. But now she is better that we drive during the day so not sure what we will do. How many hours was your drive? We plan on stopping at a couple hotels on the way since it's going to be a really far drive. I hope you guys had a wonderful trip. Thank you for the tips :) Our baby is so active and hates sitting in one place for too long lol let's see how it goes. We leave on the 18th to the 25th.

The Gray Fam wifey So our drive ended up being 18-19 hours with all the stops for feeds/diaper changes/breaks, and he was sooo fussy and miserable at around 14 hours in. His neck hurt from falling forward when sleeping too. On the way back we stopped half way at a hotel to avoid putting him through that again 😭😭

but the main concern is in a car seat baby’s shouldn’t be in for more than two hours at a time so driving at night is pointless
