I'm a big fan of the "cast from exile" "cast from anywhere other than your hand" themes lately. Really scratches the ol gray matter solving a puzzle that is my next turn, and THAT is better commander, dude!

I concur! I love how no one’s ready for Cascade when you get a random bomb which just swings the game in your favor! This is further bonkers when you sculpt / scry the top of your library and then cascade into that card.

Here's something that a lot of MTG people don't talk about: decks they like to play against! I love playing against Cascade decks because it feels like I'm against the clock a little. What decks do you guys like to play against?! Another good video as always!!! Because that's better Commander!!!

Hell yeah brother, seat of your pants play right here. One thing with a cascade and impulse based deck you wanna goldfish the hell out of it. Not only does it mean you save everyone time but it looks and feels very cool to just turbo through a huge play like you're Josh Lee Kwai or something.

The underappreciated master of cascade is the Paradox Power Doctor Who deck. Not only does it have a bunch of cascades itself, it's also got the Paradox keyword, that triggers when you cast cards from outside the hand So the Thirteenth Doctor goes ham with tokens, and the Twelfth Doctor can demonstrate with them. Paradox counts itself when the card's cast outside the hand, too, so you get immediate value if you draw one.

My Alora (Merry Thief)//Tavern Brawler Izzet cast from exile deck was my favorite deck from 2022, and Wilds of Eldraine and Lost Caverns of Ixilan had some pretty fun goodies I was able to fit in the 98, like Two-Headed Hunter and Hit the Mother Lode. Repeatable cascade with creatures like Heralds of Tzeentch and Noise Marine are nice when Alora or some other source can bounce them back to hand. Hidden Cataract and Hidden Volcano are also nice after a sweeper messes up the board, and Flamekin Herald is nice when I bounce Alora back to hand to cascade over and over again. Also Tavern Brawler counts as a commander, so Flamekin Herald works with the deck's background as well.

its a total cascade of the heart... ok enough of that brother i have the bell chimed but somehow missed this one i love cascade a buddy runs imotet which gives spells cascade its so good. hes built it so that he cascades into either ramp or ridiculously big beaters.

Don't forget Maelstrom Nexus! I use this card in a few decks because who doesn't want to cascade every turn? But yeah, I love the chaos of Cascade and you present a lot of amazing stuff here. I will say, Discover is inferior in one way, and that's if it gets countered, then no bonuses. Counter a cascade spell and you still get a free cast

@@bettercommander I have a 5 color tribal deck that naturally loves it and at least one other 5 color deck that makes good use of it. Why not Cascade with Ur-Dragon and Friends? Just like Wild Magic Sorcerer and Rain of Riches, you get a lot of value. Why not run all 3?

This is a great video. I just called my local shop and they told me they have a bigger commander following than standard but I was looking for standard. I had a bad experience with commander and it’s just been very off putting but I like Cascade a lot and I’m trying it in standard with foundations but i was curious how it works in commander and this was so informative 🥹 Bloodbraid Elf is one of my favorite cards so I just want to play around it if I can even if it’s not world champion material I just want to have fun with a card I remember seeing my friends play I don’t know how to play yet but I’m gonna try 😊
