Thank you so much for this! I am taking my daughter tomorrow on the beginner runs and it was nice to see a visual of where to go and take her safely!! So appreciated!

Long video but, good to see Cascade again. I skied there two times years ago and look forward to returning sometime in the future. I remember they had a big snow pile with a tunnel through it that you could ski through.

The OG mogul monster!! Glad you enjoyed it

Wish they brought back moguls back to the “Monster”! So cool to pound bumps all day at Cascade…and right under the chair - no mercy!

This video brings back memories . I learned how to ski on Cascade at 4 years old. Im 42 now. Havent been there since 2008, going back this winter to see the new runs!

You will love it! I grew up skiing in Switzerland, and I am really impressed by how good the runs are at Cascade. My son and I like them so much that we purchased a season pass.

@gavinfpv9132 Thanks! Glad you found something somewhat comparable, at least in the Midwest 🤣.

Great video! Have been going to Cascade for several years partly because kids ski free, that's a HUGE benefit. The hill is also great with awesome terrain.

It's a great spot for families for sure-glad you enjoy the content!

Our family loves Cascade! Great snow-making and their ski patrol is top notch. We've been season pass holders for many years and are looking forward to them opening (next weekend)

Been going there since 90's! Cool to see it grow over the years. I take my 3 daughters there now every year! Great variety of runs and lifts so don't have to spend tons of time WAITING!!

Quick correction/note at 15:08 regarding the Cindy Pop Express Bridge. Matt Vohs said the bridge was definitely planned before he arrived at Cascade in April 2016. He believes it was a collaboration between Rob Walz and Mike Taft (Mountain Manager in 15/16). Either way, great design and execution by the Cascade team!

I loved this video! Being from Northern IL, I rode Cascade a ton as a kid and it's where I learned to snowboard (using unapproved plastic Target boards for the longest time) and I remember all this terrain you mention. The old Mogul Monster use to scare the crap out of me as a little kid, but since moving back to the Midwest (lived in CO for 5 years) I really appreciate the added terrain and trail changes that have been made/added in recent years. I personally love riding Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque as I feel their Season Pass Benefits as well as their overall vibe/attendance lures me back every year. I can lap both of these resorts on a good day and easily get 20+ runs in before the afternoon. I love both of them for their added night skiing during certain times, and both have a special place in my heart. Thanks for the video and I hope to see you out there on the slopes sometime! :)

Nice tour! I always go to Alpine Valley instead of making the extra 30-45 min to Cascade. Haven’t even been there since the Bdub opened lol. Need to make the trek this year.

Another great resort run through but did you have to give away the local secrets to finding the best corduroy? 🤫 Also you missed the waffle window and the tots menu at the Daisy (and more new food coming this year at the Daisy too).

Fun video….Cascade looks quite different from when I skied there in the 80’s as a young man. I very much enjoyed skiing there, though, today’s view shows it to be more user and family friendly. I also remember Cascade having ice structures, arches, at the top of the hill no far from the lift unloading area, is that something they still do? Maybe I missed this, but are the owners the same as they were in the 80’s?

Glad you enjoyed it! So, Rob Walz took over the business from his parents (Phil and Adele Walz) in 2006(?) I believe. Phil took over the operation in the late 70s.

For those interested, tons of families with lots of kids. Lots. Of. Kids. Because it's free obviously. The issue is the lack of parenting that goes on.

Give me 2 reasons to go there instead of Devils Head. If I dont have kids.
@MidwestSkiersАй бұрын
-highspeed lifts -north facing We love Devils Head as well, but it’s silly to act like one is vastly superior to the other. They both have great attributes.
