This is definitely the most underrated skiing channel probably because it’s in the Midwest

I agree. I wish Matt lived and skied in SLC or the Tetons. We need this in depth content out west. Other channels like SRG Skiing have started to create good reviews of mountain out west, and Beyond the Lodge gives some good POV terrain recon of grommers, but it is nice when a channel like this can bring it all together and offer up to date news.

I really appreciate that 🙏 we try hard to give everyone as much info as possible, lots of fun to be had out there! Always looking to expand and improve, but right now the Midwest is more than I can handle… although we might have something coming from the East coast in the next couple weeks 🙃

I’m still baffled you don’t have more subs and views! Literally my favorite ski channel on KZbin, keep repping the Midwest🤘

I love that there is a channel dedicated to a under appreciated but vital part of skiing in this country. Please do Powder Ridge! :)

Ha missed you at giants by 2 days. One tip I can give is on weekends when the Calgary chair is running, it can be faster to hop on Calgary with little to no wait compared to waiting to get on the high speeder. Good vid.

Great video! Can't wait to hit Giant's Ridge. I see it on the reciprocity list with a Mt Bohemia pass and hope it stays on. Looks like some good terrain.

HA!!! YES I call that my "secret run," and here you also say it's your favorite run in that middle section as well. And yes I got a really good arm workout getting back to the high speed lift. I was there in March when the snow was warm and sticky at the bottom so I really had to work to make it back to the lift as well, but I love that run that sneaks under the lift that they don't open on weekdays as well! Love the pitch and there's no one on it. SO funny you also said the same thing. I was seriously the ONLY person to ski that run, I'll bet that entire day.

I know I’m a few months late, but I’m wondering if anyone had any insight on giant’s ridge vs spirit mountain? I’m planning a trip to Lutsen from the UP and planning to stop at one of them on the way as I get a free day at both with a Bohemia pass. It’d be MLK Sunday so curious which is less crowded, and is giants worth the extra hour in the car (meaning leaving at 5am)? I’ll be happy skiing anything, but I like glades or steep groomers the most

I know they were part of the Mount Bohemia reciprocal pass, And thought they were on Ski Cooper??
@MidwestSkiers4 ай бұрын
They are, I try not to get too in depth on that as it is constantly changing year-to-year. I’d just recommend checking out their site for the most up to date info!

LOL ski patrol doing snowboard tricks. Safe to say they're not gonna hassle any hotshots?

YES!!! The bottom of Lutsen just makes me go, "like WHAT are you doing?" They funnel skiers of all abilities together at the bottom to access the Caribou lift and it goes straight down at the very bottom, which for many people, is something that is beyond their ability, so then you have everyone practically crashing into one another as some are unpredictably turning as they go down. I almost got into two crashes there last year. One on Moose and one going down that same steep type terrain they also have at the bottom of Eagle just past the chalet. I also don't like how they have people walking across the ski hill right by the chalet on Eagle Mountain, to access trails back to their condos or do who knows what.. but I also almost ran over a young boy who totally ignored me when I yelled a warning that I was going to go around his left side and there was no place for me to fit as it was under the bridge. I have no idea what he was doing there but he wasn't skiing down the hill. I still love both resorts though, but you also didn't say anything in this video about GR's HOTEL RIGHT AT THE BASE OF THE SLOPES. That is so great.

It’s lot smaller than Lutsen mountain ⛰️ but it still is a great place to hike and ski ⛷️
