Yes there are a lot of ads. But as someone who has put podcasts together, I assure you that the quality of this channel’s output does not come cheap. The hours of writing and research alone are worth paying for. I can live with the ads bc the content is nothing short of outstanding. Mad respect.

The young girl who witnessed Eklund's abduction of Pernilla, also described him as "looking like a trucker", explaining that truckers often eat rather unhealthy food at truck stops and as the job itself is rather sedetary many thus gain a specific body shape. The acclaimed criminalist Leif G. W. Persson has said that her description of Eklund is the most accurate and detailed description he has ever encountered. Just to further shame Eklund (because he deserves to be publically shamed in every way possible); he was a known local perv who liked to sneak into the girls' locker room in his home village to pleasure himself with the girls' underwear. His local nickname was "Lill-Runken" (roughly translated to Little Wanker), due to the size of his equipment.

The number of ads is really getting quite frustrating..especially as I pay for ad free. I totally appreciate you need to 're coup your costs but it seems there are increasingly more "sponsor" ads each week.. few weeks.. it is quite off putting. your older videos are / were much less interrupted. Lol..as I am typing another "sponsor" ad has come on. It's actually quite annoying.. I don't wanna play June's journey or any other game.. and this motorcity guy being so upbeat and bouyant about the zodiac..No

This guy shouldn't have been able to murder these girls. He should've still been in prison! The guy was a repeat offender/predator/rapist/ pervert! I guess until they actually finally kill one of their victims. It's a perpetual slap on the wrist! If I were the parents of these young ladies & found out this guy was repeatedly being released with little time. I wound be seeking legal counsel! These murders should never have happened! Imo!

It seems to me that a lot of young people are still walking, hitchhiking and cycling on poorly lit, country roads, often in poor snowy weather conditions in Scandinavia. I also listen to the ‘Murder in the North’ podcast and there’s quite a lot of rapes, kidnappings and murders throughout these beautiful countries, in spite of their reputation for being incredibly safe. In other words, people need to be aware of their surroundings and take care not to hitchhike, walk or cycle long distances alone, especially when there’s no populated areas around for miles - you can find yourself suddenly incredibly isolated. Unfortunately because of the huge areas of scenic countryside coupled with the snowy/icy weather, Scandinavia is the perfect location for killers and sexual predators to dump bodies or commit rapes with little chance of anyone seeing them. By making poor choices you increase your vulnerability level no matter where you live. This makes life easier for rapists and killers to abduct you and hurt you. Make it harder for them by making good choices and sticking together with friends when travelling home….
@K8E666
@K8E666 Жыл бұрын
I also think that some of the Scandinavian principles of imprisonment need addressing. I know that they’re heavily focused on the rehabilitation of offenders, and offenders often live in their own ‘apartment’ within the prison community and prepare for life on the outside not long after entering prison in the first place. I think the scales ⚖️ of justice have dipped too far into rehabilitation and away from punishment and this needs to be addressed for particularly violent offenders with sexual offences and murder on their ‘resume’…. In the UK we introduced the ‘full/whole life tariff’ in 1983, where excessively violent offenders can be given life in prison without parole for their particularly heinous crimes. This includes serial killers and serial rapists. We realised that a far more violent class of criminals were evolving and the law needed to evolve with them. No more parole or shorter sentences. These individuals are usually psychopaths and sociopaths with various antisocial behaviours including narcissistic personality disorder etc. They cannot be rehabilitated and studies have actually shown that they get worse after receiving treatment then before it…… We need to accept that these people exist and can cause immense suffering and damage to the communities that they live in. Sweden obviously has a whole life tariff on their books as this offender will never be released….I’m not sure about Norway and Denmark.

@@K8E666 Indeed ! Here in Denmark, a life sentence means 16 years , tops ! and often, they get released some five years before, but nonetheless, I find 16 years in jail a scorn to murder victims and their loved ones.

Being Danish, I do agree there´s a naivety towards predators/dangers lurking, however, only last weekend, a 13 year old girl was snatched off her bike in broad daylight; at noon! She was held captured for 27 hours, raped and threatened by her perpetrator. We also have poor policing here; seven years ago, a 17 year old girl was snatched in that same area, as the 13 year old, the police never found the perpetrator, although they did view cctv after more than 30 days (!) and searched for a grey Hyundai car circling the area at the time of the 17 years old´s disappearance and only just now found out, that the now apprehended abductor of the 13 year old, had the exact same car, colour and model..
